Hotel indigo review

The hotel and restaurant were beyond amazing. The staff was very friendly. I was just surprised no microwave or availability to get a bucket of ice. Very very inconvenient after a 6 Hour Dr. Been to many hotels that have guest services to hold your bags while you were out so that you can check out let Housekeeping in, but the lady said follow me and took us to a room that was storage room filled with pop, and we had to carry her own bags I’m disabled I told her is there someone else that can help she ran the suitcase over my toe. No apology just laughed entire hotel and the restaurant were absolutely stunning.

Staff was nice. Reservation and room was ready when I arrived. Checkout was easy. Good place to stay if going downtown for concert or game.

Hotel is a old Nun school

When we book this trip, we treat it like every other trip, pick a city, find a hotel within that city, look at the reviews and bam booked. This hotel ratings did not mention anything about nuns on this app so that was a huge surprise for us LOL. If you choose this hotel be ready to be amazed and uncomfortable all at the same time lol. But overall the desk guy was awesome and he schooled us on the history of the place and all the nun paintings that’s everywhere, on every wall, in every room and only every floor! There is a painting by the elevator tucked in the corner with one body, half priest, half nun…. For me it was crazy and amazing but my boyfriend was more creeped out than amazed lol. Overall we did have a great stay, bed was comfortable, we didn’t like our ground room so we got moved up to the 6th floor with the state capitol view which was awesome! Breakfast was held in the chapel lol but breakfast was good and the place is squeaky clean.

Our stay was not ideal. I'm an IHG platinum member so i used points for 2 nights and third site for 1 night. That ment at 11am we would be checked out of our room, get a temporary key until 3 and then check in to get our key for the night. Required multiple trips to the desk each day. They could not link all 3 of our reservations into 1. Our room was something I've never experienced. The window looked into an indoor conference room that they were renovating. Nothing like looking directly into a construction area in the connected room and listening to them work. It was like staying in a basement that was being renovated, very dark. First night there was what sounded like a Bachelorette party in the room next to us. When they came home from the bar at 2am they had a party in their room. I called the front desk asking someone to come up, they said they'd call and warn them, again i reiterated calling will not fix it, please send someone. They called instead. It didn't work, party continued. 30 minutes later we called to the front desk saying we will be heading next door to have a discussion with them, k now pushing 3am. They told us not to do that and NOW they'd send security right up. 30 minutes later security guy came up "please keep it down" and left. they finally went to bed around 4am, up again at 7am. No sleep. Very disappointing stay considering I'm supposed to be VIP with IHG elite status. I Should have stayed in an airbnb

Relatively new hotel in convenient location in downtown Minneapolis. Limited food options at hotel. Expensive parking which was not well explained.
