Sketchy Area
Publié le 6 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayOn our drive from the airport to the house, we saw a car with a shot out side view mirror park in the middle of the road and a drug deal happen in the middle of the street about a mile from the house. We didn’t feel comfortable staying there but was unable to get a refund for our stay

Hi Alex, I’m really sorry to hear about the area you drove through, there are two ways to get there from the major highways, one goes right through downtown, where there are definitely a few sketchy areas! The actual neighborhood of the home I’ve never had an issue with guest safety or anything like that, but like any big city there are pockets where you’ll see various characters if you drive around.
From talking to you, it sounds like your time at the home was quite nice, and I wish that would have colored your experience more.

Nice foodie neighborhood

Great place for the price
Publié le 9 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThis house is located in an area that makes it easy to get anywhere you need to go. There are plenty of great places for food and drinks that are within a short walk or drive. Some of my family members felt that the area was unsafe at night but I never felt that way during our stay.
The house does not quite live up to the pictures. It needs a super deep clean and to be upgraded generally. However, it is quite a bit cheaper than everything else I looked at so maybe that is the trade off.
Overall we had an enjoyable stay and it was big enough for my large family without ever feeling crowded. Note: there is only 1 bathroom on the main floor the other is in the basement and you have to go down a steep/tight spiral staircase to get to it as well as 2 of the bedrooms, laundry, and second kitchen. It’s not for the faint of heart.
I recommend this house if you want a budget friendly option for a large group

This review doesn’t make much sense to me. When I asked about your stay you said it was great and never alerted me to these issues. Additionally, the home is not split. This is a private apartment. It’s a private apartment in a duplex, so there is another apartment in the building with its own entrance and it is not shared. Thank you
