Needs some updates

Beautiful room overlooking the lake. Room had a musty smell, including the bedding. Bed wasn't comfortable, illows were flat. Breakfast was toast or muffins, coffee, pancake but was told you had to take back to your room No ice machines, but you could buy ice at the front desk

Thank you for your review Vickie. We are sorry that there was a musty smell in your room, unfortunately if we are not made aware of this, we cannot remedy that situation for you. Our beds are less than 2 years old and are a mid firm mattress. Unfortunately, everyone has different preferences, and we cannot please everyone. We're sorry that you did think yours was uncomfortable. As for breakfast we serve yogurt, hard boiled eggs, english muffins, muffins, cereal, orange juice and coffee as well as the waffle makers. We are sorry if you did not see all the other items offered at breakfast besides the english muffins and muffins, but they are in the coolers on the counter next to the waffle makers. As for taking it back to your room, yes, we got rid of seating when we could not serve during COVID. Given that all rooms have a view of the water, we felt that was a much better view than a room with four walls, and a couple tables. In addition, the staffing issues to have extra seating, so we no longer have it. There are no ice machines because 57 of our 69 rooms have icemakers in their rooms with the full kitchens. However, we do offer a complimentary bag of ice for the stay for those staying in our studios as they are the only rooms without ice makers.

Too many stairs

Beds were comfortable and the place was clean. However, we had to go down three flights of stairs to get to the room - no elevator. Patio faced highway, so it was very noisy with the door open. Breakfast was provided, but was so bad that we went elsewhere for breakfast. We could hear people talking in the next room, almost well enough to understand what they were saying! Pool and hot tub were nice.

THank you for your review Melinda. We are sorry that you did not enjoy your room. You chose our Studio room, which is our least expensive and are only located in one area of the hotel. There is an elevator in the hotel, but it's located in the middle of the hotel and that will take you down one flight, and you'd have one other to go down. Most people choose to take the stairs as they are closer. There are four rooms in the hotel that the elevator does not service and you were in one. When booking online, it does indicate that the room style that you chose is along the highway and that there may be stairs to take. As for breakfast we offer a grab and go breakfast, not a hot breakfast that you would get when you chose to go out. We are glad that you went and enjoyed the many breakfast cafes we have in town. If you do decide to come back, I would suggest trying our One Bedroom Condos, which do not face the highway, but also have a view of the lake.

We only stayed 1 night so we didn't have time to check out the property but our room was very nice. We would stay again if we were in the area.

The staff and facility are the best!! Highly recommend! Love the eagles flying around, right outside the front doors!

The room and view was absolutely gorgeous. The bed and furniture so comfy, the location to town for shopping and eating was perfect, and the hotel was super clean and employees were so kind and friendly. The main reason for the downgrade to good from excellent was that the rooms connecting were very loud. Every time the tub water ran or someone took a shower (10:30 p.m.), flushed a toilet or even walked (2 a.m.), we heard it all. It was a Tuesday night (not a weekend night). Not very quiet or restful in our opinion.

The dates that you were here, actually that entire week we were completely full in the hotel, so week day vs weekend wouldn't have mattered.
