Nice rental! Wheelchair access.
Publié le 11 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe liked the open floor plan, the big kitchen, and the king bed in the main bedroom. Because one member of our party uses a wheelchair for mobility the ramp in the garage was super helpful. The rental was close to shopping and our family. We liked the quiet neighborhood. Would rent again!

KU Med Treatment
Publié le 9 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe spent a week here while receiving treatment at KU Med and Westwood Cancer Center. This was the perfect location. It was very clean and very updated. We loved the neighborhood for walks and talked to several neighbors. We felt very safe. Debbie was very quick to resolve an issue we had with the tv. Coming over immediately to help us solve the problem. Highly recommend this property. Target and Hy-vee are very close as well.

KU Hospital

Disappointed

In the past, Debbie has been communicative and friendly but something changed with this stay and it felt more like we were dealing with a 'corporate landlord'. We were traveling from 5 and 8 hours away, and had asked a week or so in advance if we could check in early. Debbie replied they had people checking out that morning so it depended on whether the cleaners were done. THAT WAS FINE. We planned our travel based on not having early access. However, we got to the house 15 minutes early and could not get in. I messaged Debbie about being locked out and she never replied to me. It turned out that the code did not work on the door until exactly 4pm, even though the cleaners were gone. We only figured it out by randomly trying the code after waiting about 20 minutes for Debbie to respond to my message. Communication was non-existent.
We also had other small issues with the house during our stay, such as dirty dishes in the cupboards and the AC not keeping the house as cool as we would have liked.
Unfortunately, I don't think we will be staying here again.

To respond to the code not working. I had told you that with someone checking out that morning, I would probably not be able to get you in before 4. We have to program the locks for guests safety. When you had tried and messaged me, I had not seen the message about not getting in until 4:05. But checked and saw you made it in safely. So saw no reason to message you that "I see it worked". In regards to the ac not keeping you as cool as you liked, It kept you at 65 most of the days which I probably shouldnt have allowed. I had just tuned up the ac with a company and they said it worked great. You and your fellow quilters moved just about every piece of furniture and didnt move it back! Was totally shocked. Plus left scraps of material and threads all over the place. Total disrespect for someone else's property. When I showed pictures on Facebook because of my shock of the way you left it, fellow quilters and crafters plus other friends who stay in VRBO's when they travel mentioned they had never left a place like that before. I even had one guest who comes every year and is a friend of mine now on Facebook mention how shocked she was and then told me she has done probably three to four quilts at my houses but I probably cannot tell that she has. And no, I did not know that, because of how clean she has left the place. Everyone said to not rent to you again.
So yes-I would appreciate it very much if you did not come back.

Great Getaway
