While the room was nice and I liked the "get-out-there-and adventure!" vibe, there were several key problems. First, when I made the reservation they did not disclose that there is major construction work going on, i.e. jack-hammering the concrete slab. Very difficult to enjoy the room with that going on many hours of the day. Second, while I get the appeal to a younger, more "hip" customer, I just wanted to watch the local and national news and apparently your can't do that as they don't actually have cable, but expect you to "stream" your content to the TV via one of your handheld devices. Uh, no thanks. Third, for their apparent embrace of technology (i.e. it's a "virtual hotel" where they send you the building keypad code and the room keypad code with no in-person check-in, there was no way to turn of the lights near the beds without getting out of bed and walking to the switch panel near the door, then fumbling your way back to bed in total darkness. Lastly, while my coffee at their cafe was good, the $6 price on a teeny-tiny microwaved breakfast burrito that was basically inedible was a rip-off. All in all enough bad experiences that I would not stay here again.
