The lower level flooded twice during a 4 night stay. Per owner, blamed on female personal products being flushed. Not our issue during our stay. Lighting didn't work in dining room or family room. Most window cranks were broken so couldn't open windows. If crank worked, no screen. Bed still broken per previous review so not usable. Informed grill was usable. No tank of gas available but owner replaced when asked. Grill and area needed cleaning. Halloween candy found by grill...May rental! Possitives..7 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, not all usable. Needs updates and MAINTENANCE!

Inaccurate Photo Depiction

The photos of this place were beautiful! What we received was not. Musty rooms, ripped up sheets, broken drawers in the kitchen, filthy kitchen sink, old couches, dirty bathrooms, showers towels that smelled of smoke…I could go on. I came for a conference with 15 of my students, my husband, our daughter, and a co-sponsor and was left disappointed and quite frankly, pissed off. I paid a lot of money for junk, don’t stay here, find somewhere else where the property is accurately describe and managed appropriately.

Not what you think

Pictures on the website are not realistic of what you receive. If you like mold, mildew, stains, dirt, burnt out bulbs, dirty toilets, stained carpeting, stained linoleum, bird flop on tables, unclean air vents, bad smells, this is your place. I have this very well documented unfortunately you cannot post pics in feedback.

We enjoyed our stay , just needed cleaned better before we got there and need more things to cook with like pots and pans but we managed.

There were 5 families that rented this house. We had infants teens and adults. There was plenty of room to spread out. The teens and adults loved the pool table. The only problem with the kitchen was the can opener That is now on my list to travel with. Plenty of parking. Not fancy but very comfortable. We are already planning another trip next Feb.

Football Weekend

Property is about 10+ minutes outside of Columbia. Property manager was accommodating and arranged for us to check in 1 hour early. Definitely more affordable than a hotel for a large group on a football weekend.

College reunion-Mizzou Homecoming

We needed multiple rooms for a college reunion. Space was great for variety of sleeping arrangements. Kitchen space worked good for feeding crowds. Location was close enough to Columbia to easily get to the game. Property is a little tired and run down but very clean. Had a problem with one bed that had a broken box spring. And the coffee pot was only a 4-cup pot...not big enough for a crowd.

Experienced bed bugs and an inconsiderate owner

This was the second time I stayed at the lodge, and was extremely disappointed with the condition of the place as well as the consideration of the owner for his customers. I woke up one morning covered in bed bug bites. we had to go and purchase several hundred dollars worth of items to take care of this situation so our group didn't bring the bugs home. We asked for compensation and were ignored. I believe this place has great potential but unfortunately its not being taken care of to live up to its potential. I will not be back.

We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: - As soon as we heard about the insects, we had two pest control companies inspect the property. Neither company found any bugs - We had stayed at the property for two weeks before your visit and did not have any issues with insects - All our beds are completely encased with hypoallergenic mattress covers Thanks for taking the time to write a review.
