Disappointing stay in Mocksville!
I was pretty shocked at the condition of this Wyndham property. There was mold on the lampshades and in the bathroom. One lampshade was barely hanging on due to a broken frame. The towels were as thin as paper towels and rough. The bed made a horrible banging sound when you got into it. I went for breakfast at 8:30 am. Nothing left. I looked around to see if I could find replacements. A desk manager came over with a very threatening, "What are you looking for, Ma'am?" I said, "Breakfast!" Then he noticed there was nothing left and went to replace some food. Very spartan meal!!! Housekeeping changed towels every day but never touched the bed or anything else in the room.

Worst hotel service have ever experienced
I was exhausted, having just returned from the beach. When I went into the room and removed the cover that goes over the foot of the bed that a lot of hotels use, I was appalled. There were at least a dozen oily looking spots. In the next few minutes I saw some equally disgusting things in the room. I had a room with a jetted tub but the tub was disgusting, mildew around the jets. I called Hotels.com and they got in touch with the front desk to see what they could sort out. Although I did not want to stay in this hotel at all, I still allowed management to show me some more rooms. The first two they showed me were unsatisfactory. I was left me standing outside and told that management was going in to see what other rooms were open and that they would be right back. I had given them back the keys to the original room when I went to the front desk, and they had been left there. I was left standing in about 90° heat, waiting for about 20 mins. I did not have the keys to my car nor the keys to the room and all of my things were in the room. As I waited, I was left with none of my things. I was not able to make a call, not able to get in the room, not able to use my car. When I was finally shown some more rooms, I saw that I was seeing rooms that were a downgrade from the one I had selected and I asked just to be refunded the difference in price on the rooms. I felt the hotel was determined not to refund my money. Luckily, hotels.com helped me to get another room next door.

Great place to stay
The Days Inn was a perfect location for my four-day visit. Very conveniently located next to the Interstate highway, plus many services within easy driving or walking distance. The room was large with a king bed, a comfortable couch, a work desk and chair, and large screen TV with tons of available channels. The bathroom with tub/shower was large and clean and everything worked. There was even a very nice flow of hot water from the shower. The staff was friendly, professional and accommodating. I arrived about noon, three hours before the check-in time at 3pm, but they were happy to let me register and have access to my room. I will look forward to staying here again when I return for another family visit.

Stopped by the lobby outside entrance at time 0645. There was supposed to be a breakfast buffet however the lobby was still locked and no staff was available. Toilet flushing was not satisfactory. Needed to hold down the flush lever to allow complete flushing.

Room overall was okay, but the bathroom door had multiple drips of mysterious liquid that I had no idea how long they had been there. They should have been cleaned by housekeeping.
