Fine but a bit disappointing for the price
Publié le 16 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe view and location was amazing and the house was generally clean and comfortable with some dusty bits and some cobwebs. But the place is a bit tatty and run down. It definitely needs an update or a price change.
The kitchen needs more equipment, wooden spoons, oven dishes and some decent knives. The upstairs bathroom door doesn't stay closed. The screen doors on the balcony are broken. There was a trampoline which my son was excited to use but the net is badly broken so not safe to use...disappointing for him.
The kayaks were great. But the path down to the beach is really steep and loose so not suitable for elderly people or those with any mobility challenges.
We had a nice time but the house was not as flash as the photos suggest.

Not worth the daily rate
Publié le 14 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe were disappointed and underwhelmed with this property. The price we paid per night did not at all reflect the quality of the actual house.
The BBQ was rusted and did not work. The 4 Fishing rods that said came with the property were in such poor order it was embarrassing.
The property manger did a good job in providing us a new bbq on day 3 of our stay. The house was old and in parts had rotten wood. Spider webs in rooms. The location and bird life is great. But I suggest the price per night is not worth it and should be reduced to be reflect the property.
We left early and will be asking for a partial refund.

Great location, lovely house
Publié le 6 févr. 2020 sur HomeAwayA great location on the secluded Moetapu Bay Road with views across Mahau Sound. The property has access to a lovely little beach, which our kids enjoyed swimming in (just mind the current, especially at high and low tides). Locals were really welcoming.Would definitely stay here again.
