I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed your experience, overall. Harbor Pines is a part of a former resort. The washer/dryer is attached to the back end of this cabin. I'm sorry it was a nuisance. If one of the other cabins departs and the cleaner is washing the linens, at times you can hear the dryer reverberate through the wall. We are working on a solution with the property owners, since the washer/dryer is not advertised for guest use. I appreciate you being conscientious and concerned for the safety of the property and our future guests. Our maintenance team is contacting you for a picture of the vent. Since this is the first we have heard about the clogged vent, it will be addressed immediately. I also appreciate your feedback about the needed deep clean. Our property owners did this Spring Clean and we will address it with them, on top of having our cleaner pay more attention to the dusting and removal of bugs which fall into the windowsills. I couldn't agree more. The Eagle Harbor area captures summer in the Upper Peninsula well. I'm glad you can see the potential of what this old-school sleeper cabin offers. Actually, the property owner was in the neighboring cabin all summer, and frequently had his family stay at Harbor Pines when they visited. The owners family were the incoming guests upon your departure. I'm truly sorry your 2 night stay was such a disappointment. As a small, family business, we all felt the weight of your unhappiness, both the care-taker on-site and our office staff who spoke with you. We tried our best to ease your frustration during your 48-hour stay. I honor your opinions. We have grown our business by listening to our guests these past 18 years. Obviously, we have space for improvement with this sleeper cabin. You are right. Our cleaner should have been more conscientious of the linens as she was remaking the washed linens on the bed. She had been instructed to discard any linens with unremovable stains. We have since improved our training and communication structure so that no other guests experience what you did. Bottom line: The cabin should have been more thoroughly inspected prior to your arrival. We fell short; I apologize. All new linens have been purchased. Plus, I have passed your feedback over to the property owner. I own the fact that as property managers, we let you down in your experience of Eagle Harbor- Harbor Pines. I recognize that trust is the pinacle of what our guests rely upon when they book with us.
