Nice and comfortable stay

The stay was comfortable and the staff were cooperative. As it was in city area, i could able to visit our business related activity without delays.

Good central location to explore Mombasa island. Needs some modernisation.

Very convenient location with a sense of history. The property is getting tired and needs some renovation. It is good value and I will continue to stay there when I visit Mombasa.

Castle ruin

The Sentrim Castle Royal Hotel is an historic place in Mombasa. Unfortunately, as castle, is breaking in pieces, and for the royal, there is nothing remaining of what it could have been. I got a room in the five floor extension built without lift !!! but was kindly moved to the old building, with a lift, but where an exhausted AC heates more than cooles the room. One of the features of these old building or new extension rooms are their dirty walls, including spots of mosquitos the clients crushed, sometimes blood included. The furniture is old, the curtains are dusty. I only got one towel in my room, for all purposes, body, hands and floor. The cold water faucet was broken and the shower water jet got no pressure, just kind of dropping ... For unknown reasons the hotel stills holds two stars and I was charged 100 USD, a scam !!! I was also charged for a cappucino I got instead of my breakfast. It is not a consolation, but the staff was nice.
