Blue Riviera: a splendid beachfront 1-bedroom apt w/stunning view

Catherine or Philippe will welcome you upon appointment any day of the week so that you avoid the usual Saturday traffic jams in France (and/or enjoy better airfares).

Although we are pretty flexible, we simply ask that you check-in between 4-8pm.

The Blue Riviera 1-Bd apartment is located in the heart of Menton, France a small, lovely and quiet city on the famous French Riviera, between mountains and the Mediterranean sea, between Monaco (7 miles) and the Italian border (3 miles).

Conveniently located, you are within walking distance to shops & entertainment, the old historic district, the Cocteau Museum and the historic Market where you can purchase fresh fruits & vegetables every morning.

This non-smoking apartment is on the 3rd and last floor of a bourgeois building (w/lift) dated from the “Belle Epoque” period. From the balcony, don’t miss the beautiful sunrises and sunsets! Being on the top level of #1652 Promenade du Soleil provides you with unequaled views of the shore, the Promenade and its palm trees.

The features of the blue Riviera apt are:

To help you travel light, bed linens and shower towels are provided. During the season, beach towels are also provided. Professional cleaning fees will be asked for the linen (upon your arrival so you do not pay taxes on this amount). 2025 fare: €80, cash only.

Wonderful Month in Menton
Property was well located across the road from the beach and close to shops restaurants and market. The free commuter bus stop is across the road and the No 600 bus was a short walk Airport bus No 80 is also a short walk.

Good as it gets!
Another lovely stay at our favorite spot in Menton. It’s also the “restaurant with the best views,” in our opinion, where you can sample the fresh local produce from the market and Atelier Boulanger. We made the climb up to the monastery, on Catherine’s suggestion, and the view was amazing. We would definitely come again at this time of year. Thanks again to hosts Catherine and Philippe!

Memorable New Year's in Menton
New Year's in Menton was delightful!! The New Year's Eve parade was beautiful. Dining was delicious, and day trips to local sights, including Monaco, were easily accessible and fun! The oceanfront Blue Riviera apartment with breathtaking views of the coastline provided the perfect setting for our holiday visit. Catherine met us at the apartment and personally gave us all the information we needed to enjoy our stay. She was extremely cordial and responsive whenever we needed help, and Philippe left a bottle of wine for us! We will definitely return to Menton, if possible, next year.

Great apartment, excellent location
Lovely top floor apartment, light and airy and peaceful, even though it was right in the middle of town. Kitchen was very small, but had everything you needed. Lovely views of the beach from the living room, lovely to sit out on the on the balcony and watch the world go by. Very handy for shops, bars and restaurants.

A little it of heaven
A week in this heavenly little home by the sea was just not enough. We loved every day of our stay here. Our hosts seemed to cover everything and were available to us if we needed anything else. The spacious living room with a walk out to the balcony was a great place to unwind after a day touring this adorable city. The little kitchen was just enough to prepare a few meals and the bedroom held everything we brought with us. Comfy mattress, too! So, no complaints here. Just wish it were closer and I would travel back there again and again.

We’ll be back!
Airy apartment with lovely views over the Mediterranean. It had everything we needed for a relaxing week’s vacation. There is no need for a car as restaurants and shops are close by and plenty of day trips are an easy bus or train ride away. The Moovit app is a great help to plan a route. The Atelier Boulanger has delicious bread and patisserie (perhaps too good!). Catherine and Phillipe are very knowledgeable hosts and provided a detailed guide book of local attractions.

Magic!!
First of all our hosts Catherine & Phillipe we very gracious,friendly, helpful and always available when needed. The apartment was just wonderful, very clean,well equipped, light and bright with wonderful views from every window.Restaurants,supermarket, fresh food market all within a couple of minutes walk. Then to top it off sitting on the balcony sipping the drink of your choice and looking out to sea is MAGIC! Then there is Menton a gorgeous old town port to explore.

Wonderful Stay at Blue Riviera Beachfront Apartment in Menton
We were greated warmly by Philippe in the pretty garden area and he provided us with a tour of the Apartment, as well as helpful information regarding location of the train station and markets. He also gave us some great recommendations for Restaurants. Philippe let us know he was always available if we needed anything at all. The Apartment is in a wonderful location with beautiful views of the Mediterranean! We spent many mornings on the balcony, listening to the waves, with a coffee as the sun rose and evenings with a glass of Rosé, as the sunset. The Apartment is lovely and has gorgeous views from the windows and lots of sunlight. We liked that it was on the top floor and nice and quiet for sleeping. It was a wonderful place to spend our 3 week exploring Menton and also taking day trips to visit other spots on the French Riviera! David & Jeannie

A lovely stay on the French Riviera
Location, location, location. Beautiful views of the ocean and lots of natural light. Catherine did an excellent job of communicating in a prompt and helpful manner. Her information about Menton was most appreciated and we really enjoyed the short hikes she mentioned. The apartment is very well equipped for comfort, relaxation and meal preparation, if you so choose. The living area is quite spacious and was very clean. We were welcomed with a bottle of Philipe’s wine, which we enjoyed. Thank you for a wonderful start to our vacation.

Information provided - from directions to apartment to the welcome packet - was well-organized and detailed. Catherine met with us when we arrived to orient us to the property and city. It is obvious she cares about her guests and their comfort. She provided great suggestions about restaurants and things to see. The apartment location was ideal, close to sights, services & transportation, with a beautiful view of the sea from the windows and balcony. This apartment is everything advertised but better in real life when you are standing in the living room, looking out both windows, and staring at the gorgeously blue Mediterranean Sea! The apartment is very nicely finished. All things are up to date and in excellent condition. There is an amazing amount of storage for such a small space. We were very comfortable for our week long stay. We even cooked one night in the tiny, but very efficient, kitchen - which was a treat because we enjoyed the perfect view while dining! There were some beach extras provided (big towels, umbrella, and pads) that we greatly appreciated. Coming all the way from California, we just can’t pack those things, so it was a treat for us to sit comfortably on the rocky beach in the shade! Very thoughtful! Catherine and Philippe were awesome hosts! They were in great communication with us for over two years as we waited on Covid. Catherine even picked up a week long parking pass for us, which was so appreciated since we bumble through the French language when trying to figure these things out on our own. It was wonderful to finally meet them in person. They provided a wealth of information regarding the apartment and area. Just a top notch experience all around. We had some fine meals out while in Menton, but a surprise sleeper was the Bistrot de la mairie, which we stumbled upon while doing laundry next door. We enjoyed a very generous coffee crème while we waited for our clothing to dry, and decided to give them a try for dinner. We were not let down and pleasantly surprised at the quality of our meals (risotto with scallops and the most delicious Thai salmon!). The service is very honest, kind, and attentive. Pricing is very fair. Give them a try! We hope we will be fortunate enough to revisit this little charmer in the future! Thanks to the hosts and the owners for making it so pleasant for guests.

Best stay ever in Menton.
Fourth time in Menton and it just keeps getting better. Could'nt ask for a better location. Bit noisy but a central location with an ocean view has it's price. If this apartment is available on the dates you want to travel to Menton jump on it. Plus the hosts make everything easy.

Menton - a slice of Paradise!
This property met all our expectations, the location just a short walk from the old town and a daily fresh produce market made it so convenient not to mention the exceptional view over the Med from our balcony and two aspect windows. The apartment was light, bright, clean and functional and equipped with all we needed for our two week stay. We must also mention the exceptional attention and service provided by Catherine, she was a real gem and we appreciate very much all she did for us during our stay
