Escape to Oak Hollow vacation rental in Moneta, VA on Smith Mountain Lake. This 3BR, 2BA house sleeps 10 guests. Enjoy a private dock for fishing or swimming in crystal-clear waters. Relax on the back deck with stunning mountain views. The large wooded lot offers plenty of outdoor space to explore.

We want to make sure you have the utmost convenience! You'll be provided an access code to the main entrance prior to check-in. We are local, and will be able to be reached by phone, text, or email, during the duration of your stay.

Oak Hollow is the perfect getaway for a family or group of friends looking to enjoy all that Smith Mountain Lake has to offer. The rental is conveniently located near all the best attractions, including marinas, golf courses, and hiking trails. Whether you want to relax on the dock, explore the surrounding area, or just enjoy the peace and quiet of the Blue Ridge Mountains, this vacation rental has it all.

All areas of the house, decks, and dock are open for access to guests. The dock available for use by renters and their guests for sun-bathing and swimming, there is space for renters to dock their own boat. The boat lift will be used by the property owners occasionally and the rental does not include use of the owner's garage, boat, or boat lift. The house has a propane grill, it is in the garage and is unlocked.

Inside, the house is tastefully decorated and features all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The living room is spacious and inviting, with large windows that allow in plenty of natural light. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals, including a refrigerator, stove, oven, and dishwasher. There is a dining area that seats six, as well as a breakfast bar.

The three bedrooms are all comfortably furnished and feature a variety of bed sizes to accommodate all guests. One bedroom has a queen size bed, the master bedroom has a king size bed, and there is a room that has a twin over twin bunk bed and a twin over full bunk bed. Additional sleeping arrangements can be made in the living room, where there is a sofa bed. The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom with a shower. The other two bedrooms share a bathroom with a tub/shower combination. There is also a laundry room with a washer and dryer for guests to use.

Less than 30 miles south of Roanoke, VA, you're only 10 minutes from the Bridgewater Plaza, There is a public boat launch in the neighborhood!

Great getaway!
This home was an excellent spot for a family getaway! The house was clean and well-maintained. The dock, deck, and screened-in porch provided excellent places to relax around the house and by the water. The location was ideal, tucked into a quiet cove while also quite close to Bridgewater. The gentle sloped lot made for an easy trip down to the lake. Communication with the host was easy and prompt. Would definitely stay here again!

Our stay was comfortable and very enjoyable. The dock and floating docks are great and it’s a very nice quiet cove. Some of the bedrooms are lacking a bit of furnishings but other then some small house keeping the inside was sufficient. The yard was in need of a cut and some landscaping needed to be done. They have a very nice grill in the garage however the garage had 10 bags of trash that needed to be taken out and didn’t smell pleasant. With a bit more attention to detail this place could easily be 5/5.

We had an issue with the key in the beginning, but it all worked out. Property manager was responsive. Rooms and experience were as expected in the pictures. I’d recommend a fire pit, but other than that it was a comforting and cozy experience for my family.

Okay but needs some maintenance
Property was adequate for our stay in Nov. I can see how the key benefits are outside with nice deck, walkway, boathouse and location right on the water. Not being able to use those in Nov put the focus on the house which needs some maintenance. Overhead lights were not working in a couple spots and lighting was dim throughout. Bathrooms had mildew-stained caulking in tubs/shower, coffee maker was cracked and leaking, freezer was broken on fridge and property was covered in leaves so much so that we had to get out find the edges of the driveway and make a line before pulling in and out. House was well cleaned inside. Expected a little more for the price.

What a fantastic getaway!
This was our first time visiting SML and we loved everything about it. The exterior of this property had everything you could ask for! A beautiful dock, an awesome upper level and lower level screened in deck and parking for the boat we rented. The interior had a lovely master and common area. Some improvements could be made to the restrooms and lower level decor but overall it was perfect for our group of 6. Highly recommend!

Nice place could use some updates
We had 4 adults and 4 kids staying over the holiday weekend. The house has mostly pros with a couple cons. The house was clean and nicely furnished. The dock was wonderful and easy to tie up two waverunners and boat. Kids loved jumping off the dock and the neighbors were very friendly. Dock was fun for relaxing. Location is nice in the north end and a protected cove. Public put in right around the corner. The only cons were not show stoppers but for the price point would have desired more for the cost. The kitchen was stocked ok, but could use a bit of updating. The stove was pretty old and a bit difficult to use, as the screen does not light up well so it was hard to see the oven temp. The house had two Keurigs but one didn’t work and the other worked but leaked. The kitchen pots and pans were provided but a little sparse and a bit older. The house was not stocked with additional toilet paper beyond the one roll on the holder or extra paper towels. It wasn’t hard to get more, as the stores are close, just haven’t stayed in a place before without extra. Not show stoppers but for the price point would update these areas.

Great place!
Our family enjoyed the house and the dock was the best part. The house was very clean and in a very quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed sitting on the dock and swimming all day. Boat rentals are convenient and near the house. Rent a boat for the day and come back to the house for lunch. There are lots of deer so watch out while driving the neighborhood.

Clean and orderly
The property was in great location for us very clean and orderly. We only used a very few rooms in the house our daughters had to back out at the last minute. The house has plenty of room for a large group and being on the lake a must stay again place for us.

Enjoyed our short stay. Wonderful dock with plenty of room to fish and hang out! Boat ramp close by. Loved the enclosed porch too. Grocery and restaurants not too far away. Owner was very responsive!
