The Twin Lakes House is a vacation home in Monroe, a town in the Hudson Valley in upstate New York. This house sits on property bordering Round Lake, a tranquil location perfect for family reunions, large family gatherings and corporate events.
I tasked interior designers with making every room in the house welcoming and comfortable for all of our guests, without sacrificing style or modernity. The building and property are clean and in beautiful condition inside and out.
This fully furnished house features stainless steel appliances and hardwood floors, with plenty of space to store your belongings and move about the house without crowding. Large windows throughout the house are perfect for letting in natural light while taking in the view. The house includes steam heating and window air-conditioning units.
This space is ready for your stay; all you have to do is show up.
The Bedrooms and Bathrooms
The Twin Lakes House has seven bedrooms and four bathrooms, three of which are en-suite, offering the perfect setup for a large family or company gathering. This house is not suitable for large parties such as bachelor parties or weddings.
The bedrooms at the Twin Lakes House are designed to be a welcoming place to relax whether your guests are looking for time to themselves or simply a place to lay their heads at night. All seven bedrooms are spacious, while four of the bedrooms include an additional seating area. One includes two twin beds, perfect for a shared room for children.
The mix of bedroom and bathroom configurations means you’ll be able to find the right fit for everyone.
The Common Spaces
Outside of the bedrooms, the house is spacious and airy, with high ceilings with exposed wooden beams.
There is a separate dining room with a hardwood table that seats eight, and additional seating at the large bay window. The large sunroom opposite the formal dining room includes an additional dining table that seats 6–8 people, along with a children’s play area and a large open space for gatherings.
The kitchen is thoroughly modern, with stainless steel appliances including a fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and oven with a flat-top electric stove.
The centerpiece of this house is its open living room, situated at the front of the house and central to the other common spaces. The living room features a large sectional couch facing a flatscreen TV and stunning fireplace.
Please note that the pool table and air hockey table are currently unavailable, as we are in the process of replacing them with brand-new ones.
I want to make sure you have a pleasant, hassle-free stay! To ensure you have the best experience possible and to maintain the property and the good relationship with the community, here are additional house rules:
