The alarm was not reset and it rings around 4am. The kids are fine but we couldn’t fall back to sleep. I had a long day of driving ahead of me. After considering the impact of sleep deprivation on driving, we had to change our plan. It was unpleasant to be up so early, but the real pain is the cascading effect (monetary loss and change to our vacation).
