Fantastic vacation home for a fair price
Publié le 3 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy wife, in-laws, 3-year old daughter, and I had a great time during our recent stay at this Baypointe condo. The property is very clean and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen and A/C in the bedrooms and living room. This unit has a primo location on the ground floor overlooking the harbour with a patio offering a front-row view of the cruise ships that arrive several times a week.
The grounds of the complex are very well kept, with two beautiful pools, a gazebo and a tiny beach. Access to the former Hard Rock Cafe beach is included, which is only a 10 minute walk away. This beach is an absolute gem, with a bathroom on site, beach chairs freely available, and security ensuring only Freeport residents have access. If you are a strong swimmer and come prepared with fins, mask and snorkel, there is a coral reef ~200 m off-shore, extending ~1 km in each direction. I observed a wide variety of fish, corals and sponges. Snorkeling here was as good, if not better, than at the reef in Negril, which we paid to visit on a glass-bottomed boat.
Dorothy, the house-keeper/cook was lovely to chat with and took great care of us during our stay, making some fantastic meals with the groceries we purchased. I think our daughter would have happily gone home with her.
My only complaint about this rental is that the location is somewhat isolated, with trips to restaurants/grocery stores requiring a taxi. I highly recommend Leroy (host-recommended) as a driver.
