The servers and bartenders were nice. The front desk staff wasn’t rude, but was t personable. My wife and I was celebrating our 12th year anniversary because we enjoy the Riu. We actually had our honeymoon at the Riu palace and was recently at the Riu Palace in Punta Cana. At check-in, we were told our anniversary would be recognized, that they had all liquors (I specifically asked about jack Daniels) we even went to the front desk to get change and shared our experience with the manager at the time and he didn’t appear apologetic and we still had in the back of our mind that we would’ve still received even a bottle of champagne or a “Happy Anniversary” animal made out of a bath towel. However place was extremely clean and Taneka from house keeping was extremely nice. I will stick to the Palace though.

Room had a smell of wet wood and my friends room the vent was leaking and a puddle of water when we returned to room

The pool area and the food was spectacular. The entertainment was not that great.

It was an all around great experience from the front desk to housekeeper and waiters. Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming.
