The servers and bartenders were nice. The front desk staff wasn’t rude, but was t personable. My wife and I was celebrating our 12th year anniversary because we enjoy the Riu. We actually had our honeymoon at the Riu palace and was recently at the Riu Palace in Punta Cana. At check-in, we were told our anniversary would be recognized, that they had all liquors (I specifically asked about jack Daniels) we even went to the front desk to get change and shared our experience with the manager at the time and he didn’t appear apologetic and we still had in the back of our mind that we would’ve still received even a bottle of champagne or a “Happy Anniversary” animal made out of a bath towel. However place was extremely clean and Taneka from house keeping was extremely nice. I will stick to the Palace though.

The Staff wasn’t very welcoming. I was told at
Check-in if you lose the Resort Bracelet it’s $250 to replace and the Beach Towels are $20 each if you don’t return them. We grabbed our Luggage from the front area and proceeded to our room. I’m use to the Front Lobby personnel saying, what’s your room number we will bring your bags. We had Oceanfront and I wasn’t impressed with the Room or View. The beds don’t come with Comforters, they had sheets only. However, there was a thin Blanket in the Closet. The food options need to be improved. Also, there weren’t any Premium choices of Alcohol at the Bar. All the labels were brands I’ve never heard of. We came with a group of 15 people. We was celebrating a birthday. We had to leave the property to go to the Liquor Store to get decent drinks. I come to Jamaica once a year and this experience has been one of my least liked.

Very disappointed in the RIU Montego Bay resort. Planes constantly flying over, slimy beach. The music was rap and extremly loud, room service was non exsistant.. I would never go back
