Otaheiti House - Montego Bay Jamaica
Publié le 20 juin 2023 sur HomeAwayFirst, the property is beautiful, clean, and welcoming. This was the first leg of our tour around the island, and was a great way to get it started. The pool is beautiful and the property is close enough to Montego Bay and the beach and the hip strip - a few minute's drive.
Maureen is very friendly and helpful. would definitely recommend the property.

Publié le 27 avr. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe location was good for us since we rented a car so access to both Montego Bay and Negril was relatively easy. The house was very nice and comfortable. It was clean and very well equipped. There were a couple of irritating things, the mood lighting needed replacing, the ice maker in the freezer didn't work. The pool was a huge disappointment. Two of the 3 pools were dirty and not usable. The photos in Vrbo were very misleading. Access to the ocean across the main road, sounded good in reviews. It is not worth risking your life to cross the road! It worked as a base for us but not worth the money.

I am sorry that a bulb went out in one of the mood lights on the bedroom the day you arrived. All 12 other lights in the master suite works. You could have asked about the ice maker as it is turned off given that water freezes in the line when it’s not used. Hence the ice trays. All 3 pools are cleaned twice per week. Unfortunately on the days you were there we discovered a leak around one of the lights in one of the pools and needed to close that pool to fix it. The home is not advertised as beach front but as Ocean view and I told you specifically that the ocean across the road is a heritage site and part of the Montego Bay Marine Park hence not maintained as a public beach. I am really disappointed in your review and hope that you did find something that you enjoyed.

Publié le 25 juin 2022 sur HomeAwayMy boyfriend and I loved our stay at this property. This was my first time in Jamaica and I’m so happy I chose Maureen’s place for my stay. First off the property is so beautiful with the pool right in front of the home. I felt very safe with the 24hr security at the gate. I loved the fact we needed to provide our names and id in order to enter. Whenever I had questions Maureen was always quick to respond. I was meeting my boyfriends mom and 2 girls for the first time so they came and stayed a couple nights with us as well. I just let Maureen know and she would send that information to security. The home was clean and beautiful, looks just like the pictures. Only thing I had to get used to was the eco AC because I never used them before and the hot water switch when the shower water got too cold. Other than that this stay was perfect! Really relaxed. If you come to Jamaica without an itinerary no worries…she has a book with many different things like beaches and restaurants and activities that will definitely make your trip one to remember. I used Ivan’s services (driver). Although I only used him for important trips like dates and activities because it was a little too much per trip… I would recommend him as well because they were fast and can be trusted. Overall I would give this 100/100 and will definitely stay here again! Not recommend for large groups but for a couple or girls trip would be perfect!!
