Safe Harbour stay
My stay at the Tru by Hilton in Prattville Alabama was an unexpected one as my daughter and I had to evacuate from the panhandle of Florida to get out of the way of are coming hurricane. The accommodations at the hotel were lovely, clean and comfortable, but more importantly the staff there went above and beyond to make everyone staying feel welcome and accommodated. There were many families and couples who also had to evacuate from Florida and the staff, even though the hotel was booked, full of pets and very nervous people, were always friendly, professional, and went out of their way to make sure everyone was cared for. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, because tge staff who run it are amazing!

We had to switch rooms because the first room was not very clean and the floor was super slippery and wet, maybe because of the humidity or something. But the room we switched to was great and we enjoyed the rest of the night.

The room was very disappointing. I won’t go into all the reasons of why, BUT I will say that I will not stay at another Tru hotel in my travels. The night clerk was helpful and very courteous.

Will not be back.
Smelled like marijuana trying to be hidden by an awful chemical smell. No cable channels. Pool was dirty with people smoking by it. Loud people in the lobby playing pool. Paper thin walls could hear every step above us. I will never stay at Tru again.

Our ball team stayed here. Lots of kids and the hotel handled it great. Pool table in lobby. Kids had a great time. The staff was friendly.

The check in process was confusing to the front desk person (we booked through a third party site). Once she had it figured out we wer able to go to our room. The floors in our room were wet, and despite having the a/c on the whole night it was super humid in there at a temp of 67 degrees and constant fan. We had to be careful walking around so as not to slip. Shower was full of mildew. Loved the shampoo, conditioner and body wash though. Decent breakfast. Overall, it was just ok. Property needed a lot of touch ups for paint, ripped windo shades, dings in hallways...etc. Definitely not what we expected based on reviews or pricing.

For what we paid, I expected it to be cleaner and a little more taken care of. The shower door had green mold and grime at the bottom, the floors felt wet from the humidity in the room, the air conditioning was either freezing you out or extremely muggy feeling. At one point every channel I tried to access on the live tv stated no channel access. Also, I do not like the app. It seemed to not accept my password every other time. I don’t think I will stay at this location again.
