We left immediately. 1) the owner would not let us see the room unless we registered. This is when we found out that: 2) our "Executive Room" did not have a bathroom: the bathroom is shared (the room description included "bathroom or shower", not mentioning it was shared). 3) the main floor is a complete mess; there is no place to sit for all the junk piled up everywhere. This is blatantly false advertising. There is no parking, the bathrooms are shared, the photos shown are taken in a way that hides the general mess of the place. With many years of using Expedia, I have never come across something this bad. The owner reimbursed us $100, but this is a small fraction of the amount he charged us.

Response from establishment: We always appreciate the feedback and comments from our guests during our 17 years in operation as it helps future potential guests understand and share what we do for them…these particular guests refused to stay on the day of arrival, and we had no possibility of reselling our room. We however gave the guests a 100 courtesy refund for the inconvenience. We have been dealing with Expedia for 16 years and we have always offered 2 shared bathrooms for our three bedrooms situated on our top floor. We also offer individual bathrobes for every guest. The guests’ room was on the top floor. The guests were not in communication with each other or had lack of communication regarding additional information on the room and the amenities. Actually, on the day of arrival, the couple began arguing between themselves because they did not ask additional questions regarding their stay when they booked their stay with us. We always suggest to our potential guests to contact us by calling, emailing or texting us if they have additional questions or doubts regarding their bookings and not wait at the last minute or at date of arrival to ask important related questions. The guests were properly treated and were offered a courtesy refund which we did not have to offer in this matter. We also suggested to help the guests find an alternative accommodation, and they refused. Regarding the so-called mess, they were probably referring to some other guests that left their baggages who had checked out and were coming back to pick them up and going to the airport and also, the other apparent mess is my personal working desk area where there are three agendas, two computers and many piles of documents which I used to work with. Other than that our rooms are impeccable. Our location is ideal nestled in a residential area near all tourist and popular attractions. Our beds are the most comfortable in the industry as noted by many many of our guests and most importantly, our breakfasts are meticulously prepared by Chef Tony, and are different every morning, truly the best breakfasts in town. Looking forward to many many more visits from tourists, guests, conference participants that appreciate and share their memorable experiences with all. The house is conveniently located near Concordia University and downtown. There is a metro line close by. The B&B is well kept and maintained by its owners. I was upgraded for a larger room for no additional cost. Tony took good care of me by preparing coffee and breakfast every day. He gave me information about Montreal and how to get around. I will recommend this B&B to my friends and relatives.

R&M is Friendly, Comfortable, and Convenient

My stay at Repos & Manna was exactly as the earlier reviews led me to expect. My room was clean and comfortable, Tony is friendly and always ready with helpful tips, breakfast was tasty and different every morning, and it's close enough to downtown to easily walk without feeling like you're in the middle of the city. On-street parking for my motorcycle was easy enough (it would have been more difficult with a car), and Tony helped to make sure that I didn't forget to move on street cleaning day. When I return to Montreal I will absolutely stay at Repos & Manna again.

Nice b&b, good location, nice host, nice breakfasts, just a couple blocks to the metro station, a few more to saint catherine street, worked well for me for attending the rogers cup

This was a lovely place to stay! It was very walkable and close to lots of great restaurants and patios. Tony is very knowledgeable about the city and super helpful with maps and tourist attractions. Rooms are excellent, clean and comfortable with air conditioning. I highly recommend staying here.

Fantastic experience. The owner Tony is really friendly and made the stay a real joy. The beds were extremely comfortable and the breakfasts were excellent too. Would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting for business or pleasure.

Great host, good breakfasts, small but comfortable room. This is a bnb so does not have supplies like an iron etc. which is understandable. Fun place to stay with lots of engaging conversations with Tony.
