I arrived in Montrose early evening by train, and got a taxi to this hotel. What a charming and a cosy place to stay in along with great tasting food. The hotel staff working here are quite friendly to chat to… and they also give out good info on the surrounding area as well,…

The property was old fashioned as I remembered it and untouched. However it could do with some work and the internal brought up to date.

Don’t stay!!
Publié le 18 juin 2023 sur HotelsAbsolutely awful hotel. Pretty sure the room wasn’t cleaned prior to us staying as it was disgusting. Breakfast option was awful too. Fruit all mouldy / bruised. Bread for toast but no butter etc even checked on fridge. Tried to complain but no staff around. Was advised by other guests no staff around until late afternoon. Awful. Don’t stay.

Small room with thin walls, massive window with no soundproofing combined with paper thin curtains meant a terrible night's sleep.
