The hotel has a ‘no-guest-policy’ and does not allow drivers or anyone but the resident on the property. I had booked a room for two people, even though I stayed by myself. Even then, the driver was not allowed to go inside the hallway, and the lobby. It is a standard practice in India for hotels to foresee a space/room/facility for drivers. I did not enjoy my stay because I was shocked about the rudeness of this policy. If I book a room for two people, I have the right to meet anyone who joins me as a second person, in the hotel, lobby, in my room, or anywhere on the property. I do not recommend this hotel.

Dear Ms Elke, We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay at Nivah and that we were unable to meet your expected standards as an accommodation. We always strive to make all our guests feel at home at Nivah.To address your complain, Nivah is a private bed & breakfast and not a hotel.We have a strict no visitor policy on the premises, which is mentioned on our website and booking confirmations within the property policies.We do feel you may be mistaken as it is not standard practice in India for all hotels to offer staff accommodations, some do and others do not, which is why it is always a good idea to check with the property before making a reservation to see if they offer staff lodgings.All our rooms are standard double occupancy rooms, however, you did book the room as a single occupant and we do need to see a Govt issued photo identification of all guests checking into the property (whether single or double occupancy) at the time of check in. That is standard practice, one which all hotels and lodgings in India have to follow. You had wanted your taxi driver as the second occupant in your room, but gentleman had no government photo identification on him (he did not even show his drivers licence) and you did not want to officially add him onto your reservation. We do apologise if you felt our staff was rude to you but you did snatch our manager’s phone from his hand and through it on the ground, breaking it. We do not condone any violent or threatening behaviour against any member of staff at Nivah. Once again, we do apologise for any inconvenience our property policies may have caused you and strive to serve you better if you give us the opportunity to do so in the future.

This beautiful property, with its large rooms, decorated in the most exquisite wallpapers, furnishings and art is simply a pleasure. The staff are very helpful and so happy to help you navigate Moradabad. Its on the heart of the city but feels locked away like a well kept secret.

We recently stayed at Nivah when visiting Moradabad for my son’s wedding. Mr. Yateendra who is the manager is the best. He made our stay as if we were staying in his home. Wonderfully place!

Palace away from home

Heritage palace. Make you feel king of Moradabad. Modern hotel building around seperete living style .you will find tower luxurious hotel but this is just different. I never locked my room in three days stay not fair to say home away home I rather say palace away from home. Love it thank you Mr Yatin bhutt for taking care of my stay

Had an amazing stay in Nivah. Property surpassed expectations and the service from the House manager Yatindra was first class. From start to finish nothing was too much trouble. The place is really beautiful and one should visit it with the loved ones.
