The property was nice! Loved the fact that it sits on the beach and you can access the beach from the property. The hotel staff was nice and helpful. My only complaint is that I didn’t receive the ocean front room I reserved and the cable tv was spotty. Other than that It was a great stay and I would stay again.

Very secluded, quiet beach front. Wish they had more food options.

Room 39 was terrible. No shower head. Leaks in AC and roof. Would not recommend it nor would any member of our party stay there under the present conditions.

HORRIBLE! BUYER BEWARE!

I booked this trip over a month in advance. Upon arriving, we were told that we had no reservation and had to produce information. I did. We were placed in a small double room and made to pay a PREMIER room price. The next day we had to discuss with the owner the same info. She eventually changed our room to a PREMIER room which had been booked. We were givenburned breakfast. She stated that it looked substandard and not consumable and gave us a free Jamaican breakfast for the next day. THEN upon checkout, I had given all information and payment to Hotels.com. They had no clue about payment. Then said that I owed them again. Their machine would not work so they wanted to "follow me to a bank to get money." I was made late for my flight due to this and the FINAL STRAW WAS THAT WE WERE MADE TO PAY THE SAME RATE FOR A DOUBLE ROOM from the 1st night AS FOR A PREMIER ROOM. We were told, "the double room has two beds so it costs more than the premier room." Even though the PREMIER room was to face the ocean and have a King size bed. They did all of this as I was checking out & made late for my flight. They told me, "You can make your flight. They only tell you to arrive early just in case, not that you must." At this point, I had less than an hour to get from St. Thomas to Kingston & on a flight to the US bc the internet would not work. A guy came pedaling in to slowly fix the internet. I was still made to pay full PREMIER PRICE for a double. No one ever answers when you call

Good facility,poor management

My displeasure is with the lack of any maintenance on the property, especially flower beds, edgings and also the paved areas. It would appear as if at some point the management has given up hence the facility is running into the ground. The room was sparsely furnished and with only one chair for a Double Occupancy. Pillows were flat, bed linen and towels were inadequate. Hot water took too long to come on and most importantly, there was no Internet connection. I had to go two miles to get cash in order to pay my bills. And although there was Cable available, most of the channels did not work. This is a nice location but need management to bring it back to better days.

Golden Shores is just average if you want somewhere to lay your head for the night. The place was deserted I think we were the only guests staying there. Breakfast was a table in the middle of a room. A lady came out and said she could make a Jamaican breakfast and it would be ready in 20 minutes but we declined. We went in to Morant Bay and had a great breakfast at Robbie’s We gave the staff some clothes to wash which came back rough and smelling of bleach, my brand new tracksuit had bleach stains all over it. The mat in the bathroom had seen better days it had bleach stains all over it.

It was very bare and basic, no pictures on the wall, just one room with a table and 1chair. It was very strange
