Perfect stay for Cotswolds Visit
Publié le 16 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis cute little cottage is just a short walk from the train station. It is across the street from the beautiful church. All was as expected in terms of cleanliness, comfort and peaceful.
Kitchen has all the essentials. Market close by. Stairs were steep and not safe for people with mobility issues but for us were manageable. Great restaurants near by.

Cozy Cottage
Publié le 3 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayCobbler’s Cottage small but cozy. The place was clean and the beds were comfortable. It is close to the bus stops and train station so it was easy to get around the Cotswolds. It has very steep stairs up to the second and third floor, so if you have mobility issues this place might be a problem for you.

Compact but Perfect Stone Cottage

Lovely Cottage
Publié le 13 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayCottage with a lot of character and lovely main bedroom, with attached bath. Our two daughters slept in the loft up some steep windy spiral stairs. Very convenient for catching the bus to Stow, Bourton, Chipping Campden, etc. Beds were comfy and kitchen had most things that we needed. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Cobbler’s Cottage was exactly the kind of Cotswold experience we were looking for! Honey-colored Cotswold stone walls, exposed beams, moonlit views of chimney tops from the comfortable beds. All too perfect! Its proximity to the Moreton-in-Marsh train station, numerous pubs and shops made it an ideal spot for our “home base”. Thank you for sharing!!

Perfect location, but...
Publié le 28 juin 2023 sur HomeAwayThe location is perfect, but a few things could be improved to make the cottage really stand out. The bins weren't emptied (and another black sack got added to it whilst I was staying there but was out), the squeeking bedroom door and creaking floor boards quite annoying (I appreciated the warning about steep stairs), the mattress needs a protector on it, and new duvet as stained, and the oven was turned off at the mains so I had to ring for help as the instruction book wasnt clear how to reset it). But lovely touches like the cookies, milk in fridge, salt & pepper etc do make a difference when self catered. You really cannot underestimate the amazing quiet location, and I imagine really cosy in the winter.

The property is approx. 300 years old so it will have some quirks such as creaking floor boards, exposed beams and steep stairs. We will pass on your comments to the property manager in regards to the linen and mattress protector. We do hope you will be back to stay again soon!

Misleading pictures , a great location

However the decor and brightness of the place is not true in the pictures presented. The walls are actually blue and the furnishings are getting old and tired, including the mattresses. I would recommend new paint , the white looks good in the pictures.
The garbage bins were all full when we arrived, but they sent someone to clear it.. The fans in bathroom do not work. The bed needs a mattress cover. A few fixable things.

The property has been repainted since the photographs on the listing were taken and the owners chose to go for light blue paint. We will pass on your feedback to the property manager for them to review and implement any appropriate actions for the benefit of future guests. Nice Cottage

However, we were mostly here to sleep and the location was great. Unbelievably neat, small village with a lot of shops and pubs in walking distance.
