Cabin in the woods near Acadia

The location is beautiful, and is a short walk from the swimming area, kayak rental, and boat pull-out area of great long pond. The great room is very comfortable and the screened-in deck is a relaxing place to enjoy the sounds of the forest. The place was easy to find and private, and the beds are comfortable. It had everything our family needed as a home base for our vacation to Acadia and Bar Harbor.
The biggest drawback is that there's only one bathroom, but it wasn't a big deal for 4 people. Also the loft bedroom area does get exposed to light from below. Both of these are minor and as one might expect.
In general, the pleasant, spacious layout and excellent location really enhanced our family trip. We'll be looking for this place again next time we go to Acadia.

Acadia get away
Publié le 6 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayGreat location to Acadia and bar harbor. Great time hiking and a scenic sunset boat ride. Long pond looked great for kayaking but ran out of time! House was very clean, comfortable and well stocked. Three season screened porch was wonderful! Would definitely recommend! Host was super responsive and check in/out was very easy.

Great central location on the island
