Beautiful spot..definitely a camp, very rustic. We enjoyed a canoe trip around the pond.

Very rustic? Not sure that applies. Our home on Lake Ninevah was built in the 1950s. So it is older construction. We built two modern baths and laundry. We have a modern kitchen with all necessary appliances. We provide cable TV with over 100 channels, phone with unlimited long distance and super high speed internet. We have rewired and replumbed the house. We have a wonderful on-location property manager and cleaning service. We make the extra effort to keep things tidy and to be available for any visitor concerns. So, yes, the house is older construction, a cottage-if you will--on a gorgeous and very secluded Lake in the Vermont woods. Not sure describing it as rustic tells the whole story. Refer you to other reviews. Appreciate very much these folks staying with us and glad they enjoyed the experience!

Anniversary get away
Publié le 12 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayIf rrustic cottage with an amazing view is what your looking for this is your place. I read the other reviews, and just one to point out. This property is older. If you're looking for the ritz, this is not your place, but this was exactly what my husband and I were looking for. Location was perfect. We were less than 30 minutes in all directions, from many historical sights and things to do. The booking and check-in process was extremely easy. The caretaker of the property greeted us. Reviewed things with us and gave us travel tips upon our arrival. As one of the other reviewers mentioned, there is a property very close to this one. It was not a problem for us and I did take a picture to show the closeness but I am unable to attach it. I personally think it would be very nice to rent both properties if you had a large group

Lakeside Treasure
Publié le 17 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis is now on our top 10 vacation lists. It is an outstanding location. The water quality is great, and there's a perfect little beach for the very little people. The house is rustic but has everything one might need. The variety of boats allowed us to see around the lake. We hated to leave.

A classic Vermont lakeside cabin
Publié le 8 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayVery much like the cabin my family had in Ontario. A little rustic, a little worn but very clean and well supplied. A great place to stay on a beautiful lake. Small sandy beach, dock and swimming platform and all the water toys. Would definitely stay again.

Magical getaway
Publié le 30 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe cabin is perfect for a family with children and pets, or for a couple wanting to get away to a secluded lakeside spot. The unpaved road behind the house has almost no traffiic Great for biking, running and walking the dogs.
The cabin is older and rustic, but comfortably furnished and well-appointed. All three bedrooms have night table lights, chests of drawers and places to hang things. The mattresses are good ones.
The kitchen is well-appointed, there are two dens with comfy armchairs and couches.
There is all the outdoor furniture you’d want, and then some. The deck is a lovely place
To hang out in rain or shine. There’s also a charcoal grill and fire pit.
The lawn is very spacious, there are kayaks, a canoe and a paddle boat. Swimming in the lake is a dream. The water is clear, algae free. There are water lilies, geese and loons.
Tom is the host with the most and his caretaker is terrific. I had a couple of questions and they were both completely available.
Looking forward to next summer!

Great little getaway
Publié le 11 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was our first visit to Mt Holly. We had a wonderful time. When arriving we were greeted by the loons just having a leisurely afternoon conversation. That was quite an experience we will never forget.
A quiet family home awaited our kids and dogs. Nice stroll right out the back deck to the lake. The home is a great family home where you get a great sense of how much this place is appreciated by its family.
The host was accommodating and responded to any questions we had. The weather was cool during our stay. We had a fire in th firepit one day and a fire in the indoor fireplace another night. The house was big enough to spread out in various rooms for the family. Nice chair by the fireplace to just relax and read if you like. Close to Okemo and stores in that area. A few nice hikes both easy and moderate trails close by.
Nice little country store called Pierce's was a nice treat. We ended up going there twice! Locally made treats brought in daily are hard to pass up.
Overall a great place for a family getaway and would certainly go back again.
