Perfect Base From Which to Enjoy Winter Activities
Publié le 8 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was our second time staying here ... we stayed in the exact same room as last year because it was perfect for our family. But this time we invited several other families who stayed in three other rooms in the lodge. Even with wintry conditions, getting up to the Ski Park and Nordic Center is pretty easy. We enjoyed the short stroll down into town for a coffee treat and yummy burgers/burritos at Yaks. The wood stove in our room really helped take the edge off the cold temps. The Hosts are very communicative and everything was just as we expected and needed in the room. Looking forward to returning again ASAP!

A Bit Disappointing
Publié le 22 août 2023 sur HomeAwayIt's only because I always read people's reviews and take note of them that I'm writing this review - we weren't too impressed with this accommodation. The view from the windows was of mounds of dirt and weeds. The view of Mt Shasta was a small gap in the trees if you were in just the right spot. The kitchen was not well equipped. The host had asked for comments and feedback during our stay - so I let them know that the toilet roll (there was less than half a roll when we arrived with no extras) was about gone and the salt shaker they provided (which was great) was empty. Just little things but they never responded to my offer to go and replenish or if they would. The upstairs bed squeaked very loudly with the slightest of movements - enough to actually wake me up if I rolled over during the night - and I'm not a light sleeper. It was just a bit disappointing because it didn't end up being a place to come back home to and relax and the end of the day.

We provide hammocks and outdoor seating in our courtyard as a place for our guests to enjoy beautiful views of Mt Shasta. We recently added more outdoor seating and upgraded our landscaping to enhance the beautiful peaceful setting our cabin is in.

Great Location

My Shasta Stay

Mt. Shasta stay
Publié le 5 avr. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe A frame loft was very cute and a comfortable stay. We were glad we picked up firewood because it made it even more cozy. Very quiet and close to town and also a five minute drive to a perfect unobstructed view of Mt. Shasta.

Perfect accommodations

It was okay
Publié le 26 févr. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe loft was nice and spacious, but the lower part of the building felt a little small and crowded. And the lockbox was VERY difficult. It caused a lot of stress entering the place AND exiting. The code didn't work right away and we had to ask a neighbor to help when we were leaving.
Not sure we'll stay here again.
