Not handicap friendly!

In searching the reviews of this establishment, I noticed one that stated they used a service to book their room, and asking for a bottom floor room. I did not reserve the room directly through the hotel. In my booking I asked specifically for a bottom floor room/no stairs due to my medical condition. Though Amanda was very nice in calling to tell me the hotel could not accomodate, it was too late for me to book another hotel. It was too late in the day for me to book another hotel. The reason for my booking was for a funeral. I could not change my plans at the last minute. As I was leaving the next morning, I noticed and elderly lady trying to work her way down the stairs, as the person with her tried to steady her while also bringing down the woman's walker. Ridiculous! Messed up! NOT A HANDICAP FRIENDLY HOTEL!!!!

We truly apologize for this inconvenience. We were sure to call and email all guests prior to 11 am who were requesting downstairs in advance to try to accomadate and give each guest ample time to rebook and find better accomadations. We only have 12 non smoking downstairs rooms and all were booked and prepaid in advance to your reservation and we had to provide them their requests first as they all checked in prior to your arrival. As well as our local school is being remodeled and we have numerous rooms booked out for the whole month with workers, We also had a wedding, funeral, our local sell barn put up an auction and also a quincinera that we were not aware of until guest were checking in. It is not that we are not handicap friendly it is that we are a small hotel with only so many downstairs rooms and unfortunently we were booked out solid from wednesday thru sunday and we apologize you were one we could not accomadate. We are happy you still chose to stay and we hope you appreciate that there is only so much we are able to do on a busy busy weekend and we wish you safe travels.

Hi there we appreciate you taking the time to leave a review even though you always put a 1 and yet you keep coming back and stay for numerous days in a row with no complaints. You have been staying at our property for over 3 months and never discuss any issues with us. There are other options if our property is not up to par for you. Otherwise, management will talk with you on your next stay. Thank you

I wanted a ground level room ant there was literally 3-4 rooms occupied but they put me on the second floor because I booked expedia and that was the rooms they had available. It was clean and everything worked . Everything was functional and it smelled clean. The parking lot was well lighted and very convenient to go in to town or to the Highway.

We apologize and did not realize you knew and were made aware of our occupancy status... As that is a privacy issue...With that said...We would not and have NEVER forced a guest to be upstairs if the rooms were available. And we do NOT discriminate just because a guest uses a third party. We have too many repeat guests here that use third party websites and know that this is not a reason to put a guest upstairs. We only have 6 King and 7 Double non smoking rooms that are open and available downstairs and they are booked up regularly throughout the week. or they are the first to go depending on arrival times. Very few guests like to go upstairs and we are sympathetic to this but cannot honor every single guest request. Now then, alot of our guests do car share from out of town, so we may only have 4 vehicles in our parking but that is multiple rooms. now on your date of check in all of our Double non smoking rooms WERE indeed occupied with workers. Ours school is getting a full remodel due to grants and we have issued our downstairs rooms to workers who are booked for weeks in advance. We appreciate you taking the time to leave a review but wish you could be more humble and understanding. We cannot kick previous guests out to satisfy a late request. Stay humble and blessed and safe travels to you.
