First the positive - the person who checked me in was nice.
A kiosk in the lobby bisects the check in counter leaving either side feeling cramped. It appeared to go to an Indian call center that from what I gathered was unable to help the person standing at the kiosk.
The filtered drinking water in the lobby was dirty to the point of having things floating in the water.
The curtains in the room appeared filthy. If stained, they should have been replaced. The in room microwave had food stuck to the sides and door.
The mattress was broken down with a spring poking out. It felt like they’d tried to extend the life of the mattress with a foam pad that also felt broken down and crunchy.
The carpet baseboards are pulling away from the walls and I can only assume that this is where the large bug that crawled across the floor disappeared to.

We are always looking for ways to improve upon the guest experience even with limited staffing. There was a family with a vicious German Shepard outside of the front door. The dog lunged at my husband and I trying to bite us as we were walking into the lobby. My husband had words with them as I sneaked by to get safely inside. The people walked off and were not staying at the facility. They appeared to be trying to get out of the stormy weather under the canopy. There was not a human available to check us in and we had to check in via a kiosk. The hallway reeked of marijuana and the A/C unit was leaking in our room. This was the worst stay that I have ever had at a hotel. I will never go to a super 8 in the future.
