We enjoyed our stay
Publié le 4 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe stayed for just on night. The cabin was nice, it's a nice old cabin, floors were squeaky and loud, but I guess that added to the charm. The only complaint is the twin beds were as hard as a rock, felt like laying on plywood. Seeing the devastation in the area was also heartbreaking. The location was perfect for us to enjoy our family in Grassy Creek.

Aftermath of Hurricane Helena
Publié le 31 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwaybeautiful and devastating at the same time. So much work going on to repair the infrastructure, bridges, homes and businesses. God bless and preserve these precious individuals and their homes. I’ll be back next year to see the progress and soak in the mountain air

Escape from heat and humidity of Piedmont NC
Publié le 9 août 2024 sur HomeAwayGreat location. Nice to hear Big Wilson Creek in the evening. Enjoyed seeing some good sized trout in the stream, but left my flyrod at home. Lucky fish. Saw several species of birds and heard more. We love blueberry picking in nearby Grayson Highlands State Park. We worked hard for our berries, but they are worlds better tasting than domestic berries and fun to pick. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen nice to cook in. This was our second year there and we hope to return next year. Thanks to all for their work to make this a nice place to stay.

Great experience

Cute little cabin
Publié le 8 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayWe stayed here due to it close proximity to Grayson Highlands Park. We came to go hiking but not camping in the park. This cabin was perfect for us.
It was very clean and has plenty of room. I especially enjoyed sitting on the porch and listening to the creek. We did not cook food but the kitchen appears well stocked.
Check in and check out were very easy and the host was quick to respond to any messages.
I highly recommend this place and would definitely go back again.

Country quietness
Publié le 30 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwaySmall creek adjacent from the house. It was only 2 people for the 2 bedroom plus a corner of the livingroom for the singlebed. 5 people could sleep comfortably. Quaint backporch. Kitchen was well equipped for our bring our own meals: mainly frozen dinners and deli meats. Microwave was our heat source. Didnt use the electric stove. Nearby countystore was a delight to visit. Well stock food pantry. Didn't use the store's restaurant. Look great but, we are hikers who want to spend time in the outdoors. Very close to the GraysonHighlandsStatePark but, be comfortable about driving very curvy two lane road to and from the park.

Hiking-Family Vacation
Publié le 3 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe Grey Cabin was a perfect "base camp" that we came home to each evening after we hiked in Grayson Highlands. We loved eating outside on the porch and listening to the creek as well as sitting around the fire ring at night. The location is perfect and within a very short drive of the park!
