Grande maison dans un village médievale
Publié le 21 août 2024 sur HomeAwayLa maison est grande et fonctionnelle.
La route pour y parvenir est étroite et sinueuse, mais j'y suis parvenu avec mon monospace.

Very unpleasant stay
Publié le 7 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThe picture of the terrace is misleading. It does not belong to the house. There is no terrace with a barbecue. Only a table on the street, without a BBQ.
It is said that you come here for peace, relaxation, and well-being. But on Saturday evening, the family has a party on this terrace with loud music, making it impossible to sleep.
And when you finally manage to sleep at 2 AM, the dog of the downstairs neighbors barks a lot and for a long time. It also barks at 11:30 PM when you are trying to fall asleep. Every night. No one does anything about it. And the next morning, you are woken up again by barking dogs throughout the village. And on Sunday, someone is sawing all day long.
And also very frustrating... it takes several minutes for warm water to come out of the shower, and there is not much water either. You can't wash long hair under it. The bathroom and the kitchen are very outdated. For example, there is no coffee maker.
The house is also much too warm in the summer. There is no air conditioning and no mosquito nets on the windows, except in the kitchen.
The arrival was also not welcoming at all. And the house is only accessible via a very steep and narrow road with many bends. The road on the other side of the village is impassable due to a landslide. In the village, you are directed to a very narrow gate. We did not dare to pass through with a large car. There was a detour via an unpaved road, but turning around in the street was difficult.

The terrace is available for guests and yes there is a barbecue, actually there are 2, for guests. The terrace is part of my house and I make it available to my guests, having several apartments it is shared and my family can also use it. It is you who did not understand that it was also available to you. Yes dogs bark but I think they do that in your country too.
Being an isolated town and in the countryside everyone needs guard dogs. No we do not have air conditioning but if you needed it you did not have to book because in the description it does not say "air conditioning".
Have you ever heard of Medieval Towns? You have stayed there. Narrow streets and stone arches. If you can't appreciate these things, don't book them.
The village is inhabited by people who live there, work there and during the day they are all free to do their housework like sawing wood for the winter and cutting grass in the garden. Those who complain about these things would do well to stay at home.
The collapsed road is not my fault, you can write to the province of the country or to the municipality, as we have already reported. I do not think it is right to blame a host for something that he cannot control.
I advise you next time you book to inform yourself better about the structure, where it is located etc., because not everyone has the same habits as you.
