The additional charge for internet was made by the request of the guest. Before check-in, she asked for the speed of our regular internet service which is 30mps and is included for free with any stay. This is fine for most people’s purposes and is the best offered in Munds Park via Century Link. However, she made a special request to install Starlink so that she could have an even faster experience. Since we had to go to the property and install it and pay for a month, she agreed in advance to pay extra for this. We do have a Mr. coffee maker and a Keurig, and both are in working order and she never mentioned an issue until after she purchased a new coffee machine without speaking to me first. I personally checked the machines, and both are working. She was not happy that she had to pay for the internet and asked for me to take it off the bill because she bought a coffee machine that was not needed? We do have a regular service with Orkin, so bugs should not be an issue. Orkin was due to come during her stay so they would have come even if she did not request it. We have dish network and streaming available. We have one tv in the living room and one in master bedroom. This guest was upset that we do not provide tvs in the other 2 bedrooms. Many people prefer to not have tvs in rooms where kids stay. It appears that the dryer started to have issues during her stay as it was discovered after she checked out. A new dryer will be installed in Sept at this property. The guest never alerted me of this issue. We also just replaced our Tupperware and pots and pans after she left. Keurig was also descaled. In summary, this guest sent nightly ranting emails to me with complaints. Early in her stay we offered for her to check out with a refund, but she decided to stay. I do not want anyone to stay if they are not enjoying their time. Her family left my cabin in horrible condition for example, garbage everywhere, bathrooms were disgusting, doors and windows left unlocked and open. They filled the recycle can with regular garbage that needed to be placed into the normal can. She also ignored the checkout time. I was charged double the cleaning fee from my cleaner. When my cleaner came to turnover the house, she said you need to come and see this “these people totally disrespected your home”. As far as the reviews go, they are all 100% REAL. They can all be verified by guests that have stayed and I have documented conversations with all of them. The guest who came directly after this guest has left a 5-star review. Most of our guests are an absolute pleasure to host, unfortunately this guest was rude and unpleasant.
