The hotel was nice and the front desk people were helpful and polite. The cleaning people, however, did not refill tissues and leave new washcloths. I called down to the front desk for more washcloths and they brought up hand towels. Otherwise, it was a nice place to stay. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy, and not a good variety of places nearby to eat. There was no coffee in the room, our biggest complaint. I think if you pay more, you will get a coffee machine. My sister had one in her room.

The stay was fine. Our room was not ready when we arrived which we understood because it was early. However we have never had to pay to keep our bags at the front desk which we thought was tacky. I asked if they would text me when our room was ready and they did not.

The Maritim was a very good hotel with great service. It is conveniently located to the München HBF. That being said, it is not in a good part of Munich. As a woman, I did not feel fantastically safe walking to and from the hotel after dark. There was a group of men loitering around the entrance to the hotel drinking and smoking into the early hours. It’s not a far walk to the areas of the city that tourists will want to visit, and I must stress that the hotel staff were lovely.

Great Munich Train station location
Location to the Munich Hbf is very close. Service was exceptional, but the hotel itself needs a renovation. Pool and sauna were very well kept and the piano bar served up good beer.

Hotel was a walking distance to/from Munich hbf, convenient if you have a train to catch early in the morning/come in late at night. There are also several restaurants on the same street that are open late.

I can't say enough good things about the Maratim. From the front desk to the room itself, I was extremely happy with my experience. Only a block from the Hauptbanhof and a short metro ride (or longer walk) to the Marienplatz, the hotel is incredibly convenient, too. Just stay here. You'll be glad you did.

The hotel is tired and had a very odd smell throughout the public areas and in the room. The pool and sauna area were nice and breakfast had good selections but overall it was a poor experience.
