Great cabin!
Publié le 8 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayCute cabin in good location. We enjoyed our New Years here! Private, quiet, very clean and relaxing. Communication with agent was great, she was very nice and accommodating. Hot tub was wonderful, it is slightly stained from the iron in the water source, but was very clean and enjoyable! Only negative; we were disappointed that the gas firplace didnt work, we really looked forward to that especially for the 20 degree nights we had while there. That being said, owner had left a note that repairs were scheduled but we weren't made aware until we got there. Despite not having the working fireplace, our stay was great! Would highly recommended to others and we hope to return!

Hello Kelly, Thanks so much for your review. Yes, I only knew it didn't work from the gal prior to you on Christmas Eve. I had my repair guy go try to get started after I tried and he couldn't even get it on, full tank of propane filled 11/28/2023. I'm so sorry it was completely out of my control . We already bought new logs and being installed first appt 1/22/2024, rural America is slow on appts. since corporate America have purchased all our little independent gas company's here and most all business in this little old Murphy, NC already.

Nice quiet cabin
Publié le 1 août 2023 sur HomeAwayThe cabin was easily accessible from the main road using google maps. It is a peaceful quiet cabin very clean with everything needed to make a memorable vacation.
Great communication with Sandra, the cabin is a great hub for day trips which are a drive away.

Hot Tub/Dangerous

The hot tub was awful! The water was greenish and a slime was built up on the sides and the filter looked horrible. We foolishly got in the tub after running the jets thinking that would help clear up the water.
I took pictures to document the tub and brought a sample of water home to have tested for bacteria.
Reason for sample is so I can have my wife treated by a doctor since she became ill with a high fever, chills and, aches. Her toe became very infected after we tried out the tub on Saturday July 1,2023.
Because of this incident, our trip was ruined. I feel that a refund should be in order.
We are scheduled for later in the year, but we will be asking for our money back unless the owner can guarantee the tub will be in tip top shape by November.
Our main reason we take trips up to the Murphy area is a cabin with a hot tub

I have no idea what these folks are talking about on the hot tub. They promised me they were getting a water test and I still don't see results. By the way you need to know this happened on a sunday per these folks, but they were there since Monday and Didn't report it till they returned home to complain. I thinks its a new game to book 2 stays, complain about first one to get 2nd free these days. Badmothing and games seems to be the today new free stay complaints. I have been managing this cabin for over 10 years and it's never had this complaint. I emptied and cleaned hot tub before there arrival myself. The brown is from the NC clay when the well was sucking the bottom of the well a year ago. We are gradually getting the stain out of hot tub. I have had 2 couples come since and love the house & tub and understand NC clay staining hot tubs locally. I talked with 2-3 nurses and they said if you are getting sick you should never get in a hot tub per rules.

Dream come true
Publié le 6 juin 2023 sur HomeAwayThis place was a dream come true from the time I walked to the cabin it far exceeded my expectations it truly felt like home and it was absolutely beautiful everything was perfect for the decorations it was clean and beautiful and comfortable. We had a wonderful visit with my uncle and it was a wonderful wonderful experience will definitely be back thank you thank you so much may God bless you.
