My husband and I stayed there for New Year’s Eve and I will say it was the cleanest motel we have ever been to. The staff was friendly and the room was so cute. We would definitely stay there again.

Cute motel with great service.
They do a great job keeping the place very clean and nicely decorated. Great location with walking distance to town attractions and shopping. The room was cleaned daily and fresh towels left neatly wrapped. The walls are a little thin for noise transfer, but overall a nice experience.

First time staying in Murphy, older hotel but room was spotless, check in was easy and staff very friendly. No on site breakfast but they provide a nice basket of brekfast treats. Will definitely stay here again.

Great location in downtown Murphy. Easy walk to several restaurants and bars. Property is old but very well maintained with large flat screen tv and small refrigerators in every room.

It was our first stay at the Sunset Motel. We’ve traveled to Murphy, NC often and had stayed at various hotels. We wish we had stayed at the Sunset Motel for every visit! Very clean and nicely decorated. The staff was very friendly. And the complimentary breakfast basket was wonderful. Highly recommend!

Great little motel for overnight gambling stay.
Great cozy place to stay, close to the casino. Room was clean and service was great! Price was also very reasonable. Love the throwback deco. We had a great stay…. and the little breakfast basket was a nice touch!

Great Stay
Although it’s an older motel and could probably of been a 4 star rating just because of the dated facility but it is still a great little motel. It was very clean and felt safe. Great location to walk around town, etc.
