Terrible hotel

should grade this hotel as 1 star for everall.... Pls do not expect comfort in the room or in the premises. And do not expect good service from the front desk including the boss which he claim he is. Terrible experience, cancelled my room even no refund, the so called Boss said can refund at the first place, after 5min, he said no refund. Not worth value, consider other hotel Please.

Contre : Standard of upkeep and maintenance
Emplacement : Carrefour supermarket
The standard of maintenance is awful. Lights are not working. Safe deposit box is closed. Only one towel is supplied everyday

Current status of the hotel

Pour : Convenience. As it’s within walking distance fr the City Centre Mall.
Contre : The proof is in the eating. If there is no improvement, I will not return.
Emplacement : As mentioned above; at least the eating n shopping places are within walking distances.
The hotel’s standard has dropped tremendously since my stay there some 3 years back. It appears that maintenance has slackened tremendously and things were “falling apart”. One of the lights in my room was not functioning as well as the two down lights outside my room. I brought this up to the reception twice. It was mot attended to at the end of my 5-day stay. The TV set was out of order almost throughout my stay; despite being attended to twice by the hotel staff. The front desk and other personnel were very courteous though. The breakfast was mediocre.

Close to airport, great location for a longtransit

Overall good, staff at check in were fantastic, at checkout it was a little different, I booked a taxi driver from the hotel, he gave me a price and asked me to pay, the taxi driver told me that I paid too much and that the reception staff is 'pocketing' some of the money.

BIG MISTAKE

Hotels in Oman are not cheap, so, better to spend a bit more and staying in a chain. At least, you get what usually...mosquitos, spiders, bad breackfast and dirty carpet on smelly restaurant on basement...bad bad selection. No wifi apart of lobby and after requiring several times to switch on the router...
