This once in a lifetime (unless you book more nights!) rustic cottage experience is on the shore of one of Muskoka’s most stunning lakes. Perched amongst the trees, fall asleep to the sounds of nature as you watch the water gently lap against the shore. Sit in the hammock net and share the sunrise, or get cozy with a hot chocolate on the deck next to a two-sided fireplace in this truly unique stay. Nestled in a private forest, it’s steps from the cottage to the dock for canoeing & swimming.
This cottage is cozy - it’s one of the very few cottages in existence directly on the banks of the lake, as the location has been grandfathered in. But because of that, rooms are beautiful, and exquisitely crafted but small. The two bunkie rooms are adjoined, and one beautiful A-frame bonus room - not listed - has a little ladder to get into it. If you’re a nature lover and want to feel part of the experience this is for you! If you’re looking for a cottage the size of a mall, it’s not.
There is a great dock area, a beautiful new waterfront deck, and the cottage itself. Although the property the cottage is on is a very large natural area, a lot of this space is quite steep and isn’t very suitable for hiking safely because of this - but it gives you amazing & rare privacy. There are great trails near by.
A few things to note is that this is a rural location - and so, there is a hilly gravel road leading up to the cottage, and the land it is on is very natural. Also do note the size and that there is one bathroom. The 8 people maximum works great for families but isn't always great for 8 adults due to this.
Guests can access the entire cottage and property, including the large waterfront.
Very available by phone and text, available some of the time near to the site in person.
The Muskoka Region is truly unique having the largest concentration of lakes in the world. With its breathtaking granite rocks, sweeping pines and stunning water views, this is a world class destination.
Parking is a single driveway, limited to 3 or 4 cars.
We strongly recommend 4WD and snow tires in the winter because although it is so very beautiful, the weather can be snowy and the roads are gravel and hilly at the end. We do have connections with local people who plough the road and driveway and do their best to ensure it is accessible.
Noise: Because this is a community of established cottages, to respect others, noise levels need to be kept to a reasonable levels and definitely within the bylaws of Muskoka Lakes (no noise after 11 pm, music shouldn’t be played so that neighbours can hear). We love this area and would love to keep our neighbours happy!
We’re New! You might be able to tell in the pictures - this beautiful cottage has been newly updated so everything inside is fresh and modern and we’re just done building this spring.
Spending time at the dock! This is one of our favourite places to be in the world - we think you’ll love it.
