could be better

Publié le 1 mars 2015 sur Hotels
this was a good room let down by its housekeeping and cleanliness. the bedroom was good but the bathroom had loose tiles and mould was everywhere. the bath and sink were so badly fitted. we found that the sheets hadn't been changed - so obvious that one side of the sheets had been used while the other side was uncreased. we also found black hairs on the bathroom floor. simple improvements would make this a good hotel.

Pleasant stay with overpriced buffet

Publié le 1 févr. 2015 sur Hotels
It was a weekend getaway trip. The hotel is easy to locate and is in a prime spot. So it is easy to reach the outstation and local bus terminus. Also quite easy to get to many of the local attractions. The property seems a bit dated. The wall corner plasters need work especially in the washroom and around the tub. I feel the buffet is overpriced.

Stay in United 21 Mysore - Excellent

Publié le 1 déc. 2012 sur Expedia
Pour : The room was too good
Contre : nothing
Emplacement : The location was accessible to all the important places.
We spend our stay with our family in the United 21 Mysore, it was an amazing experience. The cleanliness, service and hospitality of the hotel was excellent. Definitely i will recommend this hotel for our expedia friends who would like to spend their time in Mysore. Overall it is a good hotel to stay in mysore. I have not tasted the lunch in the hotel, but the tiffin and night dinner was good which we have tasted.Last but not the least 24 hours hot water supply was good.

Good hotel with excellent location and tasty food

Publié le 25 oct. 2012 sur Expedia
The hotel is good with basic aminities. Location is excellent, bang opposite to mysore palace and very near to exhibition grounds and zoo. You can compare it with a 4 star or 5 star hotel but it provides all basic aminities. The best part is the food which is very tasty. I have eaten at a lot of high end places also but none offers as fine taste as this one. Pricing is moderate.

United 21 - Good weekend stay

Publié le 26 août 2012 sur Expedia
Pour : Vicinity to Mysore sightseeing attractions.
Stayed recently at U21 in a executive double room with family for a relaxing weekend & Mysore sightseeing. The check-in was quick & room allotted was spacious, clean but frugally done (& that's ok for me). The furniture seems to be a bit old now & can do with some touch-up. It had all amenities a family of 3 would need for an overnight stay. I drove to Mysore, so a 20 car free parking space available within the hotel compound was good help. They provide a wholesome breakfast spread thats included in the room cost & the in-house restaurant we had our dinner in provided good North Indian dishes. The only issue we had in the room was a slight musty odour when the A/C was switched off. So overall a good bet for a couple of days with most of the sightseeing places within a radius of 2 km.

Run-down, poorly maintained rooms, chaotic

Publié le 18 juill. 2010 sur Hotels
When we first checked in, they had difficulty locating our reservation. When they finally rectified that we were taken to a room that had no bedding (sheets, etc.) on the bed. Embarrassed, they switched us to a room across the hall, but it had a terrible smell, it stank like a toilet. We called the manager who came up and finally switched us to a room that didn't have that awful smell. The room itself was rather run-down in appearance. The bed covers were dingy and the room itself appeared worn. Other than this the room was relatively satisfactory, but this was definitely not what we were expecting from the photos and other literature about the hotel. Internet access is not free: you have to pay for it. This wasn't too awful except that the internet access point went down about an hour after we signed up for it, and remained down for the entire period of our stay. I wasted money on internet access that virtually never worked. Hotel staff seemed to be completely flummoxed by this and were unable to understand what had gone wrong, nor were they able to fix the fault prior to our departure. This generally fits with my impression of the hotel as chaotically managed. The restaurant was decent, food quality was all right. Service was quite good. However, our table lacked silverware and no one noticed even after they brought our food, so we had to steal silverware from an adjoining table. The laundry service, however, was excellent: I've never seen my clothes so clean. Finally, the location of this hotel was quite convenient, right next to the Palace and to many shopping areas.
