The house is absolutely stunning. It’s quirky and weird in the best possible way while also being incredibly tasteful and elegant. There is so much love and passion poured into this place and it is apparent at every turn. It’s also got everything you could want from a modern hotel- very comfortable bed, great shower, amazing pool- while also providing an experience that transports you back in time. Evan could not have been more welcoming and wonderful to talk to, he has so much information to share about the house, it’s so clear that his passion has made this place what it is. He also loves Mystic and the surrounding area and has lots of great tips to help you get the most out of your trip. Bonus that there are two very sweet dogs on the property. We will be back here. Not sure when, but we will. Magical!

A gem in Mystic
Publié le 19 janv. 2024 sur HotelsOur first stay in Mystic was complemented by a great host and a very good breakfast. Free self parking convenient to loading and unloading was a plus. We loved the wonderful variety of well maintained antiques all over the property and rooms.

We had a wonderful time, host gives you a great history of the property and a very nice presentation at breakfast. Would be a much better experience if grounds/landscaping were more tended to as well as the musty aroma.

The caretaker of this property, Evan is a gentleman and he makes you feel welcomed and it’s a great host. Highly recommended.

Our host, Evan, was kind, generous of spirit, and a great cook. House 1833 was very comfortable and we slept like logs. Thank you, Evan, for a wonderful bet away. We hope to see you again.
