HOTEL HAS ROACHES!!!!! Don't stay here if you don't like sleeping in roach infested beds! The clerk, Rick refused to refund my money but I left anyway!!!!!

Super friendly staff. Very clean inside the rooms and outside property. Comfortable beds. Very reasonable rates. Good water pressure. Definitely will stall again!

When we checked into the room there were flies all over the walls and a live cockroach. They offered another room but we declined after the initial experience.
Tried reaching out to the hotel twice about even some sort of partial refund after dealing with Hurricane Beryl but they never replied and just took our money without even responding.
In all fairness, the girl at the front desk was very helpful and apologetic. But even Expedia reached out to the manager and they decliend any sort of refund. I understand they offered another room, but after a long day traveling, we didnt want to risk another room in that somewhat run down motel.
The low score isn’t simply for the room, I understand this is Texas, and this stuff can happen with bugs, it’s more so for the complete lack of communication.

Dear Struan,Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at the RED ROOF INN NACOGDOCHES. Though you indicated that you were pleased with our staffs helpful and apologetic nature, the issues that you've brought to my attention regarding bugs in the room and poor communication with staff are unsettling to hear as we work with a Pest Control company who regularly treats the property for pests as is standard in the industry. This is not the standard that Red Roof upholds for our hotel. Your concerns will be escalated in order to have them addressed.
