Séjour paradisiaque

Bonne pension familiale où nous avons passé un agréable séjour et à taille humaine (8/10 bures). Le site est idéal au bord du lagon et de la plage. On se sent vraiment coupé du monde. La Bure est top et très confortable avec un super lit et une vue sur la mer et le coucher de soleil. La terrasse est top ainsi que les transats sur la plage. Ils prêtent des kayaks. Nous vous conseillons de faire la randonnée pour avoir la vue sur toutes les baies, c'est magnifique (chemin juste derrière l'hôtel). Les petis plus appréciables : l'arrivée en chanson, l'animation musicale au dîner et le goûter tea time, la table réservée pour manger tous les repas et en-tête à tête. La nourriture est bonne (attention, si vous n'aimez pas le poisson, vous abstenir car on en mange à tous les repas). Le seul point qui nous a dérangé, c'est que la patronne a une rigueur trop militaire : pas le droit de prendre d'autres transats que ceux attribués, quand vous avez le malheur de le faire vous vous faites réprimander comme à l'école (désagréable surtout quand il n'y avait personne sur aucun transat), manger les repas à heure fixe (ils sonnent l'instrument local) soit à 8h, 12h, 19h, le briefing collectif à l'arrivée, le check-out où chacun notre tour on se fait concoquer dans le bureau (comme à l'école chez Mme la directrice). Une ambiance plus détendue est attendue surtout avec le fiji time et dans cet endroit paradisiaque.

We are pleased to know you enjoyed the bures - that were recently renovated, and appreciated that they were just metres away from the beach - Nalova Bay. We are happy to know you enjoyed the beautiful and relaxing view from the bure. We have things that need to be coordinated especially because we are a small lodge with just 10 bures, so we need to make sure our guests are all happy, and the team also work well with time of meals - make sure they are fresh, etc. We hope to see you again soon! Contre : Le débit d eau chaude
Emplacement : Snorkelling super et plage superbe
La plage est à couper le souffle, les repas sont excellents ( surtout le soir...), le personnel est super sympa, cool et souriant, les bungalows sont vraiment très bien et propres, bien aménagé Seul petit bémol : le débit d eau chaude pour la douche de notre bungalow n était vraiment pas terrible Petit pincement au cœur au moment d'en repartir... à conseiller!

Nice location, bad place

Power is cut everyday, meaning no aircon nor fan at the hottest time of the day. Water is cut occasionally too, meaning you cannot take a shower, wash your hands or flush the toilet. WiFi available in bar area only ... when power is on ! Breakfast minimal, food correct when fish or chicken, bad when (hard) beef. Cutting power to freezer and fridge at hottest time of the day constitutes a serious health hazard. Bad maintenance on main building and bungalows. Handrails in bar area are collapsing, there are holes in the floor. If the place is to be operated as a tramper halt, without water nor power, this must be clearly stated when advertising, and rates must be drastically reduced accordingly. This penny-saving policy makes the stay quite unpleasant and uncomfortable. A drastic change in ownership/management must be implemented urgently, otherwise better close the place. Charging the actual rate for a no-power no-water halt is pure robbery.

We loved absolutely everything about Oarsman's Bay Lodge-the beach, accommodation, surroundings, activities, food and especially the staff. We went to 2 other islands afterwards, and realised how spoilt we'd been at OBL. It was everything we'd dreamed of, and a lot more. Thank you to ALL the staff, who were like family. We had the holiday of a lifetime, and will definitely be back. This is the place for the true Fiji experience. Cannot give a higher review or recommendation. Thanks team OBL.

Relaxed atmosphere...Resort sits on the best part of the beach...which is awesome! Many free sports equipment. Very l Nice atmosphere and service!

Excellent Island Adventure

The staff were absolutely wonderful, they made had everything we needed and were very helpful. hey served 2 meals of fish per day, cooked in a different recipe for each meal. Sounds like a lot of fish but it was delicious. Very nice place for swimming and snorkelling. They have free use of paddle boards and kayaks which is a nice touch. Highly recommend it!
