Small outdated cottage on the beach
Publié le 16 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe cottage was underwhelming due to its age and outdated decor. The furnishings seem to have seen some use. Even though you’re at the beach, it would be nice to have a large screen TV at night and instead of a DVD player a Roku (or similar). The “fenced yard” for the dogs isn’t practical and all rocks. The check in process was easy and the cottage was clean. The public beach access is about a two minute walk away - you have to cross a busy highway. Negs Head is a wonderful city along with all the small OBX cities. Also, the property manager hung out at the end of the driveway while we were packing - seemed like he was checking to make sure we left before 10am.

I am glad that you enjoyed your stay with us! This house is called "The Surf Shack" and everyone that has stayed here loves the decor. The living room couch and love seat are only 3 years old and that is how fast a pet friendly house has to change out their furniture. We have all rocks in the pet fenced area because sand brings sand spurs and cactus and we can't grow grass here we have tried. It is small because we are limited to the amount of space. We look at it like it is better than not having one. We can not fit a larger TV on the wall in the living room and that is the only place that we can put the TV. In the bedroom's we have 32' inch smart TV's and in the living room we have cable from Spectrum, the TV is a smart TV with all the app's that you pay for, and a dvd player. We try to cover ever angel. The road is not that busy we cross it all the time including the Summer Time. The guy that you saw parked at the end of the driveway on the day that you checked out was our maintenance man. He has to park their so he can check 3 of our pools on that side of the street. He also had to park their that day because he was fixing a something in Four Winds #1. He was not spying on you or anything. He was doing his job. He is not the manager, I am and I am a women and my name is Ronni. My name is on all the emails and listings. I hope that you have a great day and I am glad that you enjoyed Nags Head.

Convenient and clean

The cottage is very accessible to the beach (just across the street from public access) and to the rest of nags head. The cottage is clean and small, but perfect for those who aren't looking for a whole mansion and like it cozy. Not the most up to date, but was exactly what we needed overall. Will use again!

Great Vacation 2024
Publié le 3 août 2024 sur HomeAwayUpon arrival no issues getting inside cottage. It was neat and clean no fur baby smell. The kitchen well stocked with whatever you needed. Living room furniture and bed very comfortable. Screen porch was nice especially in the evenings. Easy access to beach. Also if needed turn to the right when you leave the cottage and it’s a Handicap accessible beach access a block away on Hargrove St. where life guard building is (Public access ) They have a parking lot also . Fenced yard big enough for my fur baby. We will return and Management was great she answered all my questions. Wanda Story8/3/24

A trip with my aunt

Nice location
Publié le 8 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis cozy cottage was in the perfect location. The kids could ride their bikes everywhere and the private beach access was across the street. Excellent food near by and nice shops. Cottage was clean and tidy, it came with basic amenities. I liked the bedding was packaged ready for us when we got there. Would stay again for sure!

Sweet little Cottage
Publié le 19 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy husband and i stayed at this cottage when visiting our son and wife to welcome their new baby. The cottage was.perfect for the two of us and our dog, Casper. I was able to make food for the new parents. We enjoyed all the comforts of home. I kept saying i have never slept in a more comfortable bed. We had all the things we needed in the kitchen. Casper enjoyed the daily walks to the beach, just across the street. I would highly recommend this cottage!
