When checking in received the wrong room from what was reserved. However the staff fixed the error. The room was clean but the carpet had holes and the room could be updated.

Surf Side Hotel was a great place to stay for our first time at Outer Banks. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. There were some nice perks like wine hour and fresh baked cookies. The bathroom in our room did show its age, but that didn’t bother us too much. Our room had a great view of the ocean on the dune side. Would definitely stay there again.

Publié le 22 août 2024 sur HotelsDid not honor my request for a 3rd or 4 th floor room. Happy hour snacks were always empty. Huge tear in the bedspread in our families room. They found alot of trash under their bed. The sangria they have had during happy hour in the past has been replaced w cheap red and white wine. The breakfast was good. They have beach chairs to use as well as beach towels which was nice. Not sure we will pay the premium price again for a basic room. We have stayed there many years in a row and really enjoyed it but this year seemed like a step down. Pool area was clean reception area was clean. Lots of dirt in the corners of the bathroom in the room but hallway bathrooms were clean. It’s an expensive place to stay and it’s been our favorite up until this year.

Thank you for your review and feedback as we are constantly looking at different ways to improve. We do try to honor as many requests as we can but we are limited on the number of rooms we have on the upper floors, so we go by who books first with requests to fill those first. Hopefully you were able to enjoy the free cookies, popcorn, and our full hot breakfast in the mornings. We do hope to see you again next time and encourage you to give us a call to book and we can try to get you where you prefer next time.

So many nice touches. The free breakfast, cookies at night, wine social, two pools outdoors and indoors, quiet at night. Wonderful staff. Complimentary towels and beach chairs. Just perfect.
