Great location for climbing Adams Peak. Bad wifi, did not work in room. Some confusion when checking in for the room. Good Food.

Ok for the area

Nice hotel and good value for you money so close to Adam’s Peak. Food was decent, but didn’t find much better choices around. Pool was ok, but don’t go for the “sauna/jacuzzi”

美麗的旅館

這是個十分美好的地,我們登阿當山,入住這裡能夠省回大部分步行的路程,旅館餐食不錯,不過全部自費,費用不便宜。

Try a different hotel

Stayed at Grand Adam’s for two nights. The room we were given was in the middle of the hotel with no external windows, it had two beds and an ensuite that was a wet room. Upon entering our room I noted a damp smell but assumed it was because there are no windows that can be opened for air - there was a window into the thoroughfare area of the hotel but it didn’t open, only way to get fresh air was to leave the door open. The bathroom door didn’t close and there were various rules about using the toilet and shower. On the first night the damp smell was awful, we assumed it was the bathroom as the door didn’t close properly. After we completed the hike and returned to our room we noticed the smell was even worse but we were so tired we had to sleep. We spoke to the woman in charge and asked if we could have another room for our second night. She wasn’t aware that we were staying another night despite our booking. She said she would see if there were other rooms and get back to us. The pool wasn’t sealed properly and very slippery, the spa was stacked with junk. The smell in the room was so disgusting that night we had to demand to move (woman never got back to us) - the smell was actually the wall behind the bed and bed base that was rotting - I suspect a damaged sewage pipe from the smell. Had a horrible experience at this hotel, staff were unhelpful, and the food was ridiculously expensive and took way too long to make. Stay somewhere else.

This is the perfect place to stay if you’re climbing Adams peak. The hotel is very comfortable with good food and service. The pool was great to revive the tired legs after the walk up the hill. Great breakfast on the outdoor terrace after our climb. Wifi only works in the lobby but there are comfortable lounges there to relax on.

Perfect for a walk to Adam's Peak

The woman in the reception was very helpful. Had a lot of questions at arrival and next morning she organised a taxi for 4 tourists to Galle, instead of having to use a whole day by bus and train.
