When my wife and I opened the door to this stunning studio, we were ecstatic. It was the cleanest rental I’ve ever seen. The scent of the apartment was one of supreme cleanliness. There was light on three sides. I believe there are six or seven windows. We were amazed. The floors sparkled, including the inlaid compass on the floor! That was an amazing touch. The nautical theme was carried throughout the apartment. I’m hesitant to use the word cute, but that’s all my wife kept saying, “Cute, this place is so cute, so cute!” And stocked? This place had it all, especially coffee. That’s important when I travel, just let me make a cup of coffee in your place. There were dishes and pots and pans all matching and plenty of utensils. There was a huge closet with a washer, dryer combo and plenty of detergent. It gives me the ability to pack light, especially since we took the ferry across and left our car in Hyannis. That may be the one drawback of this rental, there’s no parking, but we never had any trouble parking our rental in front every night. The bathroom was as spotless as the rest of the apartment. It has a window and a fan! Love it. Location? Just incredible! I cannot stress this enough, we were literally one minute from downtown and all the shopping, restaurants, and the Stop & Shop for groceries. We loved it, and of course, Handlebar coffee is next next-door. If you are a couple or a single and want to stay in downtown Nantucket, you’d be crazy to stay anywhere else.

Cozy and convenient

The unit was perfect for two. Loved having a refrigerator and stove, washer and dryer! Location was so convenient to town. Sam was great to communicate with. We would stay again for sure!

An unfortunate maintence issue was unavoidable (storm door wouldn't latch)... Free to swing in the wind. Address is Washington street (not avenue) for map search. Thank you!

Definitely a Cozy Cottage!

The listing images were true to the cottage. Very nice location, within walking distance to Main Street and marina. The only suggestion is the need of more water pressure in the shower. The only downside is no parking available.

Reservations made by owner was screwed up. He had booked three different parties during our time.

Cottage was nice. Tv in bedroom didn't work. Owner of property was calling us repeatedly trying to get us to move because he booked two other reservations at the time of our confirmed stay. We were there for a wedding & had events everyday so repacking and going to a small hotel room was out of the question. He seemed annoyed with us that we would not move. Our original reservation was for one of his studio units which I made in April 2018. After paying and confirming the Reserv He sent me an Email asking if he could put us in the Samtucket cottage instead because he had accidentally booked the studio to someone else for our Sept 19-23 reservation we agreed to this change but then evidently he also booked sept 19-22 to another group who showed up after we had already moved in and unpacked so he wanted us to move out to a sm hotel room. Then we discovered he also rented the 22nd of sept to another party and again wanted us to move but we declined. the wedding was on the 22nd and there were events planned for everyday. Moving and re packing is not convenient when you have formal wear and events to attend around the clock. This was not our error in the first place. The tv was never fixed in the bedroom while we were there. This was our first experience with booking through VRBO not sure if we will use this service again. Also no bar soap in shower had to use sink hand soap from pump bottle I feel the owner spent more time wanting us to move then getting our TV to work in the bedroom

Well, this is certainly the worst review we have had in 10 years. I am sorry you had a bad experience. Unfortunately, I don't see it the way you do at all. It is true that you actually rented a studio from us and yet we made the mistake of overbooking, so we offered you another studio. However, because you were complaining about a number of issues (that we didn't even agree with you on) we upgraded you to the cottage at no charge. With hindsight, I'm sorry we did. I feel like you spent the rest of the time trying to get us to upgrade you yet again. The caretaker worked hard to make you happy, but you were disconsolate. The caretaker disagreed that the TV didn't work. He even patiently showed you how to work it properly. I disagree and yet am sorry you couldn't be happy despite our best efforts.

We so enjoyed our time here. Directly in town, makes everything just so easy. Sam is so terrific to work with, the whole transaction was just a joy. Thank you Sam, we had the best week you could imagine!! :)

Property was very clean and well maintained. Was exactly as described. Check in was very easy. Property manager was extremely nice and responsive. Only complaint was the $130 cleaning fee. A little steep for a 300 sq/ft space.
