The property and grounds were good, well maintained and interesting, but there was no air conditioning ,the room was hot, the restaurant, bar and spa were closed. breakfast was adequate but unimaginative. the staff were present but were not attentive. It was as if they had already closed for the season and just going through the motions. a lot of money for just a room. not a great experience.

Nice time in Naramata.

Delightful old house with history. Beautiful location, perfect for a short get-away. Staff very friendly and obliging, we sat on the verandah and enjoyed the gardens. The house is situated in such a way that you can enjoy direct sun or shade. Nice breakfast. Location ideal for checking out the local wineries and the Lavender shop is across the street from the hotel, a - must visit! Free WiFi. Rooms small but charming.

A bit to be desired.

My stay was pretty good. The staff was friendly enough. The inn itself left a bit to be desired. There is no coffee or tea available through the day. And being in wine country, there is no ice available. You are offered ice that the staff can get you from the kitchen until 9:00. The same thing goes for refridgeration of any food. It's just not available unless you get the front desk (who are only available until 9 pm) to get it for you. These details don't make for an inviting stay and really encourage guests to just leave and seek those comforts outside of the inn. Unfortunately for the cost I would expect a bit more. The rooms and grounds were beautiful. The noise, described as a "quirk" got a bit tiresome, however it's to be expected in a 100 year old building. The restaurant and spa were fantastic! The breakfast was a bit tiring, being the same every day. Yogurt, canned fruit and granola. Some fresh fruit, cheddar cheese slices, bread for toast. And a variation of eggs and sausage or a frittata. Again, this isn't bad. I would just expect a bit more for the price. Comparitavely to other hotels and inns, I've seen better. Overall the stay was pleasant and I was satisfied. For the price I just wouldn't stay again. I would recommend others stay, but maybe only for a night to experience the quaint and beautiful property.

We are glad you enjoyed some of the amenities of our lovely old Inn. Everyone has their own opinions but we have to say many people, in fact most people love their stay with us. To respond to some of your comments, we would like to say that the Inn is not an inexpensive place to stay and the price is reflective of the fact that the heritage building is costly to maintain and has a short busy season, it is closed for over half the year. We provide ice to our guests anytime they wish till 9:00 PM. If we had known it was an issue we would have made arrangements for you. We provide a complimentary continental style breakfast and it is always fresh ( never canned fruit...never! ) We do not call it a gourmet breakfast. We all work hard to care for the old Inn and we hope our guests enjoy the simple beauty of a time gone by. You suggest people only stay one night, that might be fine for you but most of our guests really enjoy staying several nights with us so they have the time to really relax and experience the Inn and the area.

Aged and needs some repair but staff was attentive to the report of damage and it was important to them to correct issues The restaurant is not part of the hotel. It is a separate business. The manager of the 1908 should be replaced.

Anniversary get away.

Quaint and comfortable, a great addition would be a counter area in bathroom. Staff very friendly, dining room/patio crew amazing, yummy breakfast. A Beautiful area of our province. Next time will book directly through hotel, lesson learned.
