Beautiful scenery and an amazing community
Publié le 27 sept. 2019 sur HotelsOur stay at Cabanas Narasgandub was everything you would expect from a remote and rustic location. You will rise when the rooster crows at the crack of dawn and likely be sleepy shortly after the sun goes down. The cabins are extremely rustic and this location is not for someone expecting a 5 star resort. It's basically camping in the most beautiful scenery. Put aside your need for comfort for a few days and give in to the way of life. It's totally worth it!
The community on Naranjo Chico took such amazing care of us. The food was delicious and there was a lot at every meal. On our first night we were served the biggest lobsters I've ever seen.
Be prepared to check out for the entirety of your stay. After a few hours I didn't miss Wi-Fi. After a day, I forgot what my life at home is like. It was amazing!
Go on the excursions. The Kuna will take great care of you and make sure you experience everything San Blas has to offer. They are an amazing and hospitable community that began to feel like my own family by the end of the stay. I already miss them.
I'd advise to opt in for the transportation to and from Panama City. The road into San Blas is long and somewhat rough and there is no need for a car when you're there. It's only $50 round trip for the transport!

It is a beautiful setting, but it is very primitive and the "excusrions" were below par: for $2 or $3 one is transported to an island with hundreds of tourists, not quite the idyllic place you would want. Plenty of uninhabited islands to choose from...

It was cool to stay beside a village and be able to witness their everyday lives . Don’t expect too much and you won’t be disappointed

Dirty, price overrated
Publié le 4 févr. 2019 sur HotelsIt is a very, very basic accommodation. Dirty. Upon arriving you could smell the toilets, water to flush is only a few times a day available. Beds are simple, only one sheet over the mattresses. For the price you have to pay, you could stay in a 5 star hotel. It is far overrated, look further.
