We are close to the action:
- 35 - 45 minutes to Downtown Nashville (Boradway, The Opry, The Ryman, Bridgestone Arena, Nissan Stadium)
- 50 - 60 minutes to Arrington Vineyards and Cheekwood Botanical Gardens
- 1.5 hours to the Jack Daniels Distillery
- 10 minutes to Downtown Gallatin (charming historic downtown with great coffee, an authentic European bakery with fresh pastries made daily, local boutiques, antiques, farmer's market and more.)
There are also several golf courses near by, several state parks, and tons of local color to explore.
Guests are welcome to explore the 50 acre property, but we ask that guests do not enter the historic barns. Be mindful that you are in nature - we encourage bug spray when hiking the grounds, and you may hear coyotes in the distance at night.
Signs are posted on trails that lead to our neighbors to indicate the end of the Hideaway's grounds. Out of respect for our neighbors, please do not explore beyond the posted signs.
We encourage you to enjoy the lake and dock, but swimming in the lake is not recommended - there are snapping turtles. (Although we understand if you doggo may want to take a dip).
Dogs are not allowed in the pool (we recommend they stay out of the fenced pool area).
The sauna is for guests over 16 years of age, and any minors under 18 must use with an adult present. The sauna takes two hours to heat to temperature and auto shuts off after three hours (one hour of use time at full temperature). Please be mindful of this in planning your sauna time and be careful when using to avoid overheating. Sauna use is at guests' own risk. No dogs in the sauna.
We live in the neighborhood and are close by if you need anything - feel free to send a message in the app and we will assist promptly! We do have horses if guests would like to pet and give them treats - they love attetion! (we do not offer horseback riding on our personal horses).
The property is on a 3/4 mile long gravel drive. We maintain it regularly, but it is a country road (a little bumpy).
The home and outside area immediately around the home is regularly sprayed for bugs, but we are in the country. Bug spray while outside or hiking the property is encouraged and bug spray is provided at the house. :)
There are stairs to enter the house, we do not have an ADA entrance at this time.
