The location of the property is very quaint. In a very quiet street behind a beautiful, historic house. The bed was very comfortable. However, upon arrival, the unit was not ready. There were dirty linens on the stripped bed and dishes in the sink. Which made things inconvenient. The owner was very responsive and came over and fixed these things. With such a short turnover period I wondered how much refreshing could actually be done. Thwre were no dish towels and creamers not available for the complimentary coffee. Also, in the shower, bothered the conditioner and shampoos were very low and needed refilling. Perhaps the strangest thing was that someone, I am assuming the owner, because it was sent to my attention, had groceries delivered that I had to put away in the place.because there were diapers,wipes, ground turkey and other miscellaneous items, I knew they were not for me. Maybe if more attention was made to specific details this spot would be more desirable. In retrospect, I should have requested some sort of reimbursement, especially when being inconvenienced on arrival so late in the evening.

Best Ever Cotttage!!
Publié le 2 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayBluebird Cottage is immaculate, warm, inviting, super comfy, a very short walk to everything, nestled in a gorgeous neighborhood, and has everything you need for your Franklin stay. Do not hesitate to book! Oh, and your hostess is super quick to reply to any questions. And yes, Franklin is as cute, fun, yummy, and delightful as you've been told. ;)

Frankly Stressed
Publié le 22 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayUpon arrival, we felt the property had not fully lived up to the marketing promises. Despite the charming historic character of the converted carriage house, some significant functional issues detracted from the overall guest experience.
The charming cottage is an old, converted carriage house repurposed as a vacation rental. As is often the case with these historic properties, the blend of new and old creates a unique ambiance. Compromises must be made to get it right.
Newer elements, like the wood-look vinyl flooring, have been installed over uneven older surfaces. The doors don't quite fit properly, and the mix of repurposed furnishings was meant to evoke a vintage aesthetic and add to the property's historic character.
The cottage's location tucked down an alley behind another rental unit, made it challenging to find initially. We tried to communicate in advance with the owner but were unsuccessful. However, once located, guests will appreciate the convenient proximity to the town's central commercial district and its shops and restaurants.
Inside the cottage, we encountered difficulties controlling essential systems like lighting, air temperature, and shower water. This appeared to be due to the installation of modern fixtures and utilities that compromised their usability, likely in an attempt to maintain the vintage aesthetic.

Publié le 9 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayNice sized cottage. Had everything we needed. Felt the mattress was in need of being replaced. Wi-Fi was sketchy, but maybe because there were some storms while we were there. Overall it was a very nice place. Super convenient to walk the downtown area.

Cottage Charm
Publié le 15 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayEverything about the Cottage is Quaint, decor is perfectly appointed. It’s is very close to town. Hosts are amazing and very accommodating , they respond within a few minutes if need be! The only shortcoming is there is not a comfy chair to sit in. Other than that 5 Star! I highly recommend .

Publié le 8 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayThankfully my stay was pretty much seamless. Upon entering was just taken by how adorable the overall look was exactly as pictured in listing. I checked in later in the day so the ambiance with the lights & soft classic music playing the background was simply magical for me. It’s cute, quaint and beautifully done. Basically like a hotel stay since there’s no actual kitchenette but I was just fine with that being for the weekend & utilizing local fare.

The location was perfect, walking distance to most of the event with a lovely neighborhood. It is so refreshing to be in a safe, kind and comfortable considerate community
