Is this supposed to be a 5 stars hotel??
It did not feel like it, at least by our experience.
It is true that the hotel is nicely decorated… especially in the Baha Mar area, this one is maybe the least tacky around there… but other than that this was not a good hotel by any standard…
The food was way overpriced and for a very average quality… cocktails were even less impressive…But the worst was the service in general… and the most shocking was by far the front desk and checkin / checkout experience… it felt like a cheap motel service and interaction… not sure if it was a lack of training from management, or if the staff just didn’t care… most probably a bit of both… but either way it was really one of the worst experiences we had in any “luxury” hotel…. the restaurant and pool staff was not much better either.
We spent just a couple of days in Rosewood, and then went to The Ocean Club hotel; it was the best decision we took during the trip… that hotel was worth every penny.
So if you really want to stay at Baha Mar and prefer a good decor but don’t mind bad service, Rosewood is for you… if you just need to be in Baha Mar then take any of the other 4 star hotels and it will cost you less for the same… but if you really do not mind paying for quality, just go to The Ocean Club and enjoy a nice vacation.
