AMAZING
Our family of 7 stayed here for the second time now. It truly is a hidden gem. The home is well equipped with everything you need to enjoy yourself including AC!My 5 year old spent her days playing in the sand and "doggy paddling" in the shallow calm waters.I myself brought along my paddle board and ventured out to slightly deeper waters to snorkel and explore.Highlights were seeing a nurse shark, many turtles, sting rays, and starfish.My family plans on making this a family tradition as many memories were made.Thanks again for an amazing vacation.

Great family getaway
Our family of four had an excellent stay at Sunrise by the Sea. The house has everything you need! Paola’s recommendations really helped make the stay excellent. We enjoyed two days on the water with Bay West Adventures and a few nights with Chef Andrew. Highly recommend each. We hope to be back soon!

Wonderful except for the bug bites
The house is beautiful and it is right on the ocean. Kayaking was fun. I don't think this is the owner's fault, but I received over 200 bug bites and 2 of them became infected, landing me in the hospital for a short period once I came back home.

Better than the pictures!
We've stayed in our fair share of beach rentals, this was our 1st international trip though. 4 of us needed some R&R after a rager of a music cruise. Was a quick flight from FLL, used the recommended Sand Dollar Rental (who were also very very nice to deal with, I had contacted them the day prior and they were able to get the car there earlier) Paola was spot on with all the info we knew we'd need and didnt know we needed to know to have the best time possible. We took advantage of the grill most nights we ate at home. House is very well stocked. We were happy to add to the house spice collection and grateful for what was left by previous guests. Had a few fun nights playing cards when the rain came. Driving on the left was fun! We made it all the way around the and enjoyed a few different beaches. Cabbage beach on paradise island was breathtaking! Downtown was fun! Hope we can get back to paradise sooner than later!

Paradise, a true escape !
Probably the most real vacation from the real world we have had. No comparison ! House was right on the edge of the island.. amazing. The local beach was so perfect. We will be back without a doubt. Highly recommended!

Fantastic!
We had such an amazing vacation at Sunrise by the Sea. Your house is beautiful and it was perfect for our family. We could tell you take a lot of pride in the home, which made it a joy to stay in for the week we were there. We loved exploring the tide pools every day, kayaking and snorkeling. Each day was a different adventure.

The pictures don’t do this place justice. Right when you walk in you are greeted with two sets of double doors overlooking the water. Security was awesome, home was clean and snorkeling/kayaking was great. I would definitely recommend. 10 out of 10

I can't say enough great things about this house, and the entire rental process. Paola was very easy to communicate with before, during and after our stay. We took a girls trip to Nassau and wanted somewhere safe, but beach front. This house is definitely both of those. There was ample room for all 8 of us, we never felt crowded. It is beautifully decorated. Plenty of towels, beach towels, and other necessities. The beachfront access makes it easy to use the provided kayaks and snorkel gear. Treasure Cove being gated gives you a sense of safety. The house is fully stocked, they have literally thought of everything you could need during your stay. Ample supplies for cooking, and relaxing. Yoga on the upstairs lanai was the perfect start to each morning. The house also had a yoga mat, they literally thought of everything! The neighborhood is also perfect for a nice morning or evening walk to get some exercise in while on vacation. We used Chef Andrew per the other reviews and he did not disappoint. Highly recommend the Jerk Chicken and Fried Snapper. It was amazing! We used Captain Andy, and the boat day with him was quite possibly our favorite day of our trip. He is very knowledgeable and gave us enough time to enjoy snorkel spots, as well as Rose Island. Highly recommend. SugarMama’s to have a birthday cake delivered and it did not disappoint. Beautifully decorated and delicious. It was a beautiful stay and we can't wait to go back!

A family trip to remember
We had planned this Bahama family trip when covid first started, booking and canceling for a few year. Paola was so easy to work with and very understanding. The house is truly a hidden gem. You could not ask for a better situated location with one of the clearest turquoise waters ive ever seen. The house was clean and spacious for our group of 8. Perfect for a 3 year old! Use of the kayaks was great and we even brough 2 inflatable paddle boards to venture around the calm clear waters. Nights spent playing board games and watching the stars. Overall a family trip to remember and looking forward to a future stay. Thank you Paola!!

We Loved Our Stay!!!!
We loved our stay at Sunrise by the Sea! The property is absolutely beautiful, and very comfortable for our family of 4. Our kids enjoyed snorkeling and saw all kids of sea creatures! Paola was fantastic to communicate with, and her recommendations were spot on! We had an amazing meal with Chef Andrew, and a day of boating fun with Captain Andy’s friend, Diver Dave. We can’t wait to return!

Yes this property is just like the pictures - Beautiful! We had 6 adults and 2 children. The ocean pool in back of the home was great for the kids. There were also a few other "ocean pools" right down the beach. Palm Cay, the community next door has a great restaurant The Pink Octopus. Chef Andrew was an amazing home chef. Wish we would have booked him for the first night of our stay in Paradise - he was an abundance of information and an outstanding chef. We all liked that we were away from the hustle of downtown Nassau. Highly recommend this home.

Sunrise by the Sea is terrific - exactly as advertised. Everything worked well. We emailed Paola about small issues and they were fixed fast. She and hubby John were wonderful. Mid-January was not quite warm enough to really enjoy being in the water but it sure was lovely, reading and dozing by the surf. Charcoal grill worked well. Nassau, however, was not a great environment. People were GREAT but the environment seems to be permeated by a fear of armed robbery. Nearly every home was surrounded by substantial metal or concrete fences, some with razor wire. You have to be buzzed into nearly every store with impressive security guards in many. For us, it was uncomfortable and a big turn-off. Parking downtown is a challenge - doable, but not simple and there are no buses to downtown from Treasure Cove. We grocery shopped around the corner at Solomons. Worked well for us and had most everything we wanted. But, had very little in the way of sugar-free soda (no diet coke or pepsi) and had no lean cuisines or the like. (we were told that diabetes is rampant.) Oddly, lots of very good pork meat at good prices which grilled nicely. We enjoyed the Bites of Nassau Food Tasting and Cultural Walking Tour with Captain Ron and went back later for take-out from Bahamian Cookin' - good stuff. I was unable to find one liquor store having all the things I wanted - the ones I went to were all pretty small with limited inventory - but was able to get what I wanted by buying from multiple stores.

We had a wonderful stay here! The house is beautiful! We had a great time snorkeling, kayaking, and just relaxing. The property owners are very responsive and welcoming. We will definitely be back!

Incredible House
The house is amazing. We were a family of four with two young boys who entertained themselves for hours and hours in the backyard. There's fish and crabs in the tidepools and the views are spectacular. On top of that the owner Paola is so helpful and nice. The guidebook she gives is great and she is responsive on any questions. She helped arrange chef Andrew to come in and cook a dinner one night that was sooo good, and can't beat feeling like eating at a restaurant on the back deck overlooking the water. If I could give 6 stars I would. We're already looking at dates to try to get back and stay there again. Thank you Paola!

Best vacation ever!
The property is exactly like the pictures! The house is beautiful, and has everything you need for your stay. The owner called the first day to make sure we were satisfied and didn't need anything. She was also super responsive when we had a tiny hang up due to one of the kids locking a door. The location is perfect. It was great having the house to ourselves away from the crowded resorts. There really is no need to even venture out other than groceries and an occasional meal out. We saw all kinds of marine life from starfish, an octopus, and even a sting ray and small shark. The little cove behind the house is a perfect swim area in low or high tide. So cool...we would definitely go back!

The hosts were excellent communicators and provided all sorts of recommendations. We decided to rent a car because a lot of the things we wanted to do were 25 minutes (downtown Nassau/cultural sites) to 45 minutes(Clifton Heritage National Park) away. Driving on the left wasn't nearly as hard as I convinced myself it would be. The house itself is right on the water, with views to die for. We stopped at some grocery stores and made a lot of meals in, and it had everything we needed (stove, microwave, toaster). Overall I'd absolutely recommend the place, and if you'd like to do things while there, would recommend getting a car as well!

Dec. 28-Jan. 2nd Our group stayed 6 days, 5 nights. Everyday was beautiful... snorkeling and fishing from the pier, sitting in the sun, crystal clear water, excellent facilities, felt very safe. Driving on the wrong side of the road was an experience! I recommend seeing the Queen's Staircase and learning the history behind it. Solomon's and the liquor store there was very nice and super close, but I recommend venturing out a bit for a better value... we found a grocery and liquor store about 4 miles away that was just as nice and at least 20% cheaper. I believe it was off from Nassau East BLVD. Sorry, can't remember the names. Thank you for an excellent trip!

Great Vacation for family of 8
The location, price and beach were amazing. The water was crystal clear but rocky so please remember water shoes. We absolutely loved Chef Andrew. We used him for breakfast and dinner for 5 days and each day was better than the last. He’s definitely worth the price. The house was in need of a little maintenance but the size and location was perfect for our family of 8. The only thing we really had issue with was the water pressure and temperature but it’s the islands. All your heat is on the outside, not the inside!!
